Well, we are at it again, and in full speed as well.

Many might think that this is a ripoff from Point of View, but its not. Different story, different events, different mod.

Journey of The vortigaunt takes you back to C17, and to another city under C17. Here, the Vortigaunts made theyr city when the combines where destroyed in Xen. It a big city, housing almost every free vortigaunt on earth.

This is as any normal city, whit citysens, leaders and soldiers. You take the view of a vorrtigaunt named Vex. Hes a sarge and a leader of a platoon.

When the combines makes theyr oupost, they place them where they want to. If one of the outposts are to near one of the entracens to V17, they attack, and kills every combine there is at the outpost.

This is Vex's work. Hes platoon is to attack a outpost near entrance C15. A standard mission, done so many times. But, this time they are expected. When the attack starts, the combines show theyr true strength, and the platoon is killed, everyone, but Vex. Hes taken to a prison, for Vortigaunts, and made into a slave. But something happens then that the combines didn know could happen. He escapes, and know the combines have a free vortigaunt that knows about the prison. Vex is on a mission. Return to V17, tell about this place, and strike again, to free the vortigaunts that are made into slaves.

This is our story as it goes. You take the view of Vex, guid him through C17. Return once more to C17, and explore whole new places of the city.

Pics of a couple of weapons, and a vortigaunt soldier (not Vex):

Weapon1
Weapon2
Soldier
Soldier1
Hands

The gauntlet is the "melee" type of weapon. Even though it has a electrical zap, its not useable at longe distance. At the 3 point leader gun, we have desided to use the bottom one, number 3 in our game.
The soldier is the heavy type armour dude that packs hell into combines. Theyr only purpose is to defend V17. The vortigaunts helping Gordon in Hl2 are citisens of V17 that wanted to help.
The hand view is not clear yet.

If you find this mod intresting, take a look at this page. Its our mods homepage.

looks good, the soldier looks interesting aswell

Wow. Looks good. All I can say is, make sure you keep to the HL Storyline... I would hate for what looks like its going to be such a great MOD to not quite fit in with the actual events of HL.

[Remember, its never been proven that the Combine controlled Xen.)

Im a true fan of Half-Life, so i have read the whole information about the game, and also read the page about the Half-Life story that they say are as close as you can get to the truth about the HL story.

I am the one writing the basic of the story. I want the story and the whole thing to be as close to the HL2 story, to make it look like your playing at the same city as Gordon was in =)

however, since its a mod, you can "confirm" that the combine took over Xen. Since it is ambigious, you can give it the benifit of the doubt if it is needed to enhance the story

Sounds interesting, will be watching this mod.

Wow that looks really cool dude how long have you been working on it?? Do you have a realease dat lol

Looks good, I like both the concept art and map screenshots. Thumbs up.

When the mod is out, i cant tell. Since i dont have any work (in real life) now, i will do my part of the mod work (mapping) as fast as i can, but how fast the others can work, i dont know.

The mod will have something near 14 or 15 chapters, whit as mutch SP playing time as HL2, and i hope that we can get it as good the HL story, though i doupt it.

If theres anyone that wants to work for your mod, feel free to apply for it at our forums. If your work is good and we feel that we could have you on the team, then theres a chanse =)

True, but nothing felt more wrong than playing through some of the mods for HL1 that had their own 'official' angle on the story, then found through HL2 that they were absolute crap. Like this one that continued from the end of HL1, that had the G-Man lead you into battle with marines. On Xen. Bwuh.

The story of the mod will fall in whit the original story, i can assure you that.

Then you'll have to avoid any references to the Combine controlling Xen, or even knowing where Xen is. There's no firm evidence for it, so the best bet is to avoid it.

The best idea is to remain as secretive about the plot as valve were.

You should only know what we have in store for the players. You know the basic story, but theres more to it then you know. We are not valve, so we are not gonna pretend that we are either, but some suprises will come :E
