jump not working

Tried searching so forgive the newbie

Just revisiting the game after already completing it once, I've got to one of the end levels, the one where you get the enhanced gravity gun and Ive lost the ability to jump, Ive reloaded previous saved games from a few levels back and jump works, but load this level and my jump stops...

Which is a bit of a pain because there's a barrier to jump over to continue

tried assigning a new key to the jump function but didn't work

Any ideas, fix etc

it happens alot, apparently... there have been previous threads, but it might have been difficult to find them...

i don't think there's anything you can do... you shouldn't actually need the jump, i think...

Unless Ive missed something theres one bit near the start of the level..where theres a railing to jump over so you can get to the room with the energy beam in the middle..I could use a cheat so I can walk through walls to get past this, but was a bit concerned case there was other places I'd need a jump

I heard about one of the people who had this problem making a ramp out of the large video screens that breen talks from.

Did you try moving the entire config.cfg file into another directory (hl2 makes a new one but you still have the old if you need it)

yeah i had the same problem i just noclipped through.
