I just see all the 3 movies of Jurassic Park yesterday
and I hav to say that I love them

well when I was a kid I was a fan of the dinosaurs, well I still a litle

and the poll is to choose what of the 3 movies is the best

also I hear that jurassic park 4 will come in the 2005 :D

I wasnt really all the much of a fan of the jurassic park movies.
Especially not any of them after the first one.

2 sucked, 3 was pretty good and 1 scared my to hell when I was little. :)

So, I vote 1, although 3 was a close tie.

2 would have been great if they had left out the whole "San Diego" ending and the girl heroically using gymnastics to kill more dinosaurs than a large squad of trained, armed hunters could. (1)

Also, 2 had the environmentalist guy be directly responsible for about 20 deaths and still be portrayed as a hero. :flame:

The gymnastics scene single-handedly ruined The Lost World for me.

I loved the first one, i was really into dinosaurs when i was a little boy and i saw it at the cinema at age 7 :). Lost world sucked imo and JP3 was okay..atleast it entertained me...

That's the sad part for me. It had so much potential with that raptor scene. The entire thing kicked so much ass, and then suddenly John Williams starts up the "inspirational" music and the girl jumps onto the bars, swings around for twenty seconds until the raptor finally wanders in front of her, and then kicks it with enough force to knock it over and smash it through a window... Ugh.

Also, Speilberg could have easilly replaced the whole moronic "Dinosaur in the city" sequence with about 100% more raptor action!

Another thing that pissed me off:
The T-rex Kills everyone on the boat, and then gets locked in the cargo hold. That's improbable enough (not one single person was below deck?), but if that happened, who managed to chase it in there and lock the door?

You can't really go passed the first one pure class, and CG that blows my mind. The second one was fairly ordinary as was the third.
1 >> 3 > 2

By far the first, it's fantastic. The second was decent, but the third didn't even deserve to exist.

1 was great. 2 was below average. 3 was bad enough I almost sued the movie theatre for showing it.

JP 1 scared the shit out of me when i was little too :D
when i watch it now, i just laugh. There was something wrong with the film though, i thought it was abit girly with the whole boy getting elecricuted sub-story. I wanted more Dino fights.

the first one was great.

the whole idea behind the second one was so dumb. oh yeah i forgot, there's ANOTHER island.

then i thought i saw some preview for the third where they go, oh yeah there's ANOTHER island. so with the chance of that happening i didn't see the third.

i'm still in shock over the fact that the first jurassic park came out in 92-93 with such amazing CG

[ predominantly the T-Rex Scene... you know the one i'm talkinga bout ;) ]

#1 is well... the best ever. its in my top5 movies of all time.

yeah JP1 was amazing. probably first movie I can remember that demonstrated what cg could be. totally floored after seeing that movie. almost like seeing matrix 1 for the first time.

The first one.

Storyline for JK4!

Some guy: Have you seen my watch?
Some other guy: Shit, did you leave it on THE ISLAND?
Some guy: Crap I did! Lets go.

Or something just as stupid.

JP1 Rocks! JP2 isn't as good but it's still something. But JP3 SUCKS TEH HELL!

What was bad about three? I figured it was pretty decent, although unexceptional.

The first one is a classic, I didn't even knew about CG the first time I saw it. :D

I hope the 4 will get very diferent and better storyline than the others ones
and more dinosaurs

1 was the best I think...

2 was alright but would have been much better if it had stuck to the book. 3...What was that?! I'm not saying it was bad but it was just, weird really. For one thing, they didn't even use the big rifles properly, you just heard it being fired a couple of times.

The lost world was a great book, but the movie blew

Is there really a need for a poll here?

If it was between 2 and 3.. I would say three is better.

I loved one.. teh whole idea of it, the feeling of dinasaurs. it rocked :D the tension of it for the first time.. not knowing whats gonna happen.. then when all hell breaks lose, its f'cking fun. brilliantly directed, excellent characters- everything after it is a cliche'.

2 i found exactly the same... but with bigger guns... and a city at the end... plus it wasnt in the theme park, and there were no members of staff, and no climax. it was all just way to predictable. good watch, but they couldnt have made it work as well as the first- it was a forced sequel.

and 3 was just crap- the same, but with... no, wait... it was just the same... boring :x

I wanted some more city action really. It would have been cool to have dinosaurs roaming the streets a bit more.

the dog died ;(

that movie was too cruel.

Jurrassic Park is better than both sequels by a mile. I saw it at the cinema prolly a dozen times when I was a kid and the raptors were wicked.

First one was the best.

The lost world was the best book in the series through.

And I thought I was the only person who liked the bit with the T-Rex in SanDiego.

I loved the original so much as a kid - dinosaurs were my thing. The Lost World was quite good and the third one was, with the exception of a few effects, a waste of everyone's time.
The books are fantastic too. But there's no third or forth books - interesting, that.

There was one thing that bugged me about #1:
The rex busts a hole in the fence, and then shoves the car through the hole. But then the car falls off a huge concrete cliff and lands in a tree. So how did the rex get up?

Maybe it just wasn't the same hole. :p

And I must agree that both JP books surpass the movies by far.

I rarely find books that inspired movies better than the movies, to the contrary of most people. Which is strange, since I love to read.

In Michael Crichton's case, his books are just like the movies, only longer, more detailed and more interesting, and lacking all the mistakes and blunders.

In fact, movies like Sphere, Congo, Timeline, are all totally messed up compared to the books because of the changes the directors made to the characters and the plots. Even the two first JP movies suffer from this (not as much in #1 though).

They always lose a lot of the best stuff through the editing process. A big chunk of the events in the JP2 movie were actually scenes from the first book that didn't make it into the first movie.

Basically all I had to say has been said.

Jurassic Park 1 for me.

Such as? Are you sure you don't mean stuff from The Lost World being in JP3? That's the way I remember it.
