i thought only ATI went to the tokyo meeting...

nah... Valve got invited... seeming they are partners as such :) keep the wife happy and all ;)

Cool, time will tell anyway,

if its delayed then we have Max Payne2 and halo. hehe

Im just awaitng Steve to send me the email header from Doug's Delay email. We will know soon enough.

EDIT: Sorry, Steve is the webmaster (the anchulada *or however you spell it*) at Shacknews who was the first to recieve the email.

this is not fake you guys this email is real no hl2 until at least november!

not as good as HL2 :( .. and i've already finished Halo on XBOX.. boohoo

Wow... so confusing ^_^

meh brain hurts...

Yea, and I swear, if the Doug email turns out to be fake, I will IP spam whoever did it until they shi* tiffany couplets.

let them hope, y'all don't need to force your oppinion upon them that its delayed.
I'm still hoping...tho i won't be disappointed if its delayed.

omg I love it, please do

It could be very well that even if it is from asia, Doug himself in in Asia, remember who went to ECTS...

You are setting yourselves up for a major let down...

All the HL related sites that are reporting it may not be credible but Steve Gibson from Shacknews has been doing this for years... He has been around for many games and their release/delay issuses. He does not report rumor he reports fact. If he states he was sent an email from an employee and the game is delayed he is stating the facts.

I wish vavle had an official site for half life 2 and then we could see official statements.

Vavle's PR is really starting to suck balls.

Im still going to check steam on the 30 sep 03, beacuse I have faith.

Tal Blevins of IGN said in this thread on IGN (requires Insider subscription) that they talked to Doug himself over the phone and confirmed that the delay is a reality.

Oh yeah, just like the people from IGN talking to Vievendi and said the game was delayed. Then Gabe clarified it wasn't delayed

lmfao

hmm, its weird that when spitcodfry went to the valve office... he didnt see peeps running around in a hectic manner..? wouldnt they be going nuts trying to finish up?? it doesnt fit...

i hope this is a marketing ploy.... then on th e30th... HL@ released get your copy now!! weee

I want this game as bad as anyone. But I really can't see this game on my harddrive sept 30th...if it does..so much the better however!

That's a pretty ass-backwards marketing strategy. Wouldn't it be better to announce that the game will be available when promised? It seems that would create so much good will with the fan community that no further marketing would be required.

yea....that e-mail being a fake is pretty much our last hope.

Do NOT mail Gabe, jeez. Flooding Gabe and VALVe with e-mails isn't going to help in any way. I'm sure he's already got more than he can reply to in a month.

Some of you guys need to relax. At the end of the day, it is just a game.

Message-ID: <[email protected]>

This is one that I received from Mike.

The other one sent by "Gabe", look at the Message-ID. It's @valvesoftware.com.

Well, before I posted the news of it at HL2Files, I did a snoop on the ip and it brought back Valve as the source. Never hurts to have a second opinion though.

This is the email saying that it's delayed, from Doug?

What I posted was from the Lombardi e-mail, yes. The "fake" they're talking about in this thread though was a fake e-mail from Gabe Newell saying the Lombardi e-mail wasn't true.

Think you got your answers guys, it's definitely delayed!

What surprises me in all this is that Valve themselves really don't simply deny or confirm anything on their own website. It would be the most simple way to do it, instead of having people talking and guessing and all that, and now even discussing if an email is fake. I just wonder why they are so secretive about a simple release. If they are not on time, so what, the whole world is not gonna end, but they could really just leave a message on their site, instead of all these emails to people.
Confusing...
