just confused a bit..Quesition

Ok, so I HAVE TO log-on to valve, steam or whatever to install the game. Now.. what if, if few years from now, Valve will close this server\service or Valve will be bought by another company. Will my Original copy be worthless? I mean.. do they commit to provide this service for XXX years or so? I saw EA GAMES buying and Killing Emperor (closing the support, closing the servers on purpose and such .. probably so C&C will be a Monoply) and what if it'll happen to valve? In the end.. I hate steam. I hate being dependent on someopne else... It's like buying a car from Audi which works ONLY on Audi fuel. What if there is no Audi anymore? ahhh... you're screwed.. :flame:

Try posting in one of the other 1000 threads complaining about Steam. Or prehaps the Offical Steam Forums?

Anyway, if Steam goes bye bye, I'm sure they'll leave open a small service to convert people's game to not need Steam, or just release a patch that disables the Steam part of playing the game.

Yeah, I expect the game will get patched to run without Steam. Similar things have happened before.
