Just did my first OC

They say to give it about 12 hours to get a stable OC.

I'm overclocking it further to 340/210 now, will post results when done.

i am unimpressed, i overclocked my 5700 from 425/550 to 500/620. :-D besides, where did you get an x300?

Came with my prebuilt Dell. I was unlucky enough to have my com spoil during exams, so my parents wouldn't let me take time off to build one.

Ok finished benchmarking the 340/210

You think it's safe to jump to 375/250??? I'm impatient lol.

No.

Well, you won't fry your video card but if you put the clock speeds too high it might dammage it somehow if it's too hot. You should increase the speeds by 5-10 increments maximum (starting with the core). Then when the games freeze or you see artifacts, then lower the speed by 4-5 and up the memory speeds the same way you did with the core.

I don't think my card has a temperature sensor so there's no way to tell if it's too hot...

Btw does anyone know long it takes for ATITOOL to calculate max stable core and mem?

Ah, popping the oc cherry......

:E

Take it in small increments, benchmark with say 3dmark2003 with each increase, watch for artefacts and watch for the performance increase and good luck.

:D

I haven't played any games yet but Aquamax has gone up by 2fps. hehe.

What the hell? Overclocking an x300? Ok in that case let me overclock my Quadro. Lmao.
