Just finished Doom 3....(spoilers in here without warning!)

Ill just skip to the point, I am now afraid of the dark

I will admit that towards the end I was groaning at how much stuff I had to do, but I felt it was well worth the 30 seconds end cutscene I got. I would have perfered it on Earth in the suburbs like in Duke Nukem, but I was blown away anyways.

I will also add, I am now afraid of screaming babies.
 
you get scared easily dont you? It really wasnt that scary, maybe the first few hours but then its just like "oh no a monster"

The end was good but they probaly could of made it better especially the very end of the cut scene sort of seemed alittle dull.

For the screaming babies, it didnt really sound like it at all. Question though I remember in the g4 icons show it should a part where the girl says "you took my baby" I didnt hear that in the game didnt anyone hear it?

Not 2 argue with u but those are my opinions :) Now go play nightmare!
 
(SPOLIERS)Yes there was a part where a woman says "you took my baby", im fairly certain it was somewhere in the alpha labs. I know it was right after a part where you took out a lot of those spiders and there were two doors to go into, one lead on through the level and the other was a dead end where your screen would turn red and a baby starts crying and a woman starts talking.
 
Hmm I guess I missed it. Oh well its a good thing I missed it cuz now ill go play the game again just 2 hear it.

Please don't play the whole game again just for that, it's honestly nothing special at all. Play the game again because it's fun :)

Was the commander marine that was sending you orders, the big tank thing before you take down the cyberdemon thing? I never did understand who the hell that was, also if you noclip into parts your not supposed to get to, the NPC's there are all named Tom or something... and they all drop the same PDA.
 
the commander was the guy who sent u 2 find the lost scientist or watever. Thats who was giving you orders. Atleast I think. Not sure wat u mean about the tank but yet again im pretty stupid. Also the game wasnt meant for u 2 noclip ur way through places ;)
 
I mean the boss before you go to hell to take down the final boss, he has tank treads that he moves around on.
 
oh ya im guessing it was cuz i never seen him afterwards. I think that was stupid cuz in the cut scene it showed him walking. Sort of had me confused there. But ya that was him.
 
...the whole baby killing dynamic of Doom 3 was a bit of a turn off. Just wanted to throw that in.
 
Baby killing is funny as hell, I went back and played the game and laughed every time I BFG'd their ass.
 
i just beat the game last night, i was kinda dissapointed in the final boss. He was easier than the gaurdian, but i was playing on easy. I didnt feel all to rewarded when i beat it. but still a damn good game, once i upgrade my card to a 9800pro im gonna play through it again.

i almost wasnt able to beat the game. when i got to the guardian my comp would get like 6fps. i had to turn everything down.

I think the dude walking with the BFG was that Swann guy's bodyguard, and he was looking for Sarge. Yeah, that kind of threw me off a bit because Doom 3 didn't really develop its characters much so it's sort of hard to recognize them.
 
All those babies were aborted babies, so I had no problem killing them some teenage girl already did that once to them! No harm done.
 
Why do aborted babies go to Hell? What did they ever do wrong?

yes its
just before you use the EPF or ladder system (when sarge gives you an option which way to go) right before you go into that room, you hear a female voice say "help" and "come here" so you go right, and down a passage, then you hear "they took my baby" and a baby scream thingy, as the screen goes red like when you get possessed. its retarded

doom 3 was nice, its scares came from shock (monster closets) not actually anything intellectual.

as a game, doom3 was ok.. as a horror FPS it failed miserably.. I mean wow suckage.. it was the tamest experience I have played in the genre.

then again its not fair to say that really since, nothing really scares me.. and Im definately not scared of the dark (I guess doom3 would kill people who were/are)

yes that was "Sarge" (how imaginitive) the guy who was giving you radio orders throughout the game.

remember Campbell the UAC councellor's (swann) bodygaurd even said, "sarge.. he has my gun.. ugh.. *dies*"

he took his BFG.

also randomly you hear "Sarge is going to kill you"
"Sarge is coming for you" when you walk around the base.

very retarded.

Why else would babies be in hell? No one wanted it so it went to hell.

LOL screaming babies... those screams wernt scarry jsut ANOYING i dont liek this game anymore...
 
Aborted babies w/o arms is hilarious, nothing like cutting those little baby arms off.
