since there will be physics and all this round of CS, then would it turn up like HALO PC? Ive done a LAN once and when i killed one of them with a grenade his body flew and i went up to melee it with my arm. When i thought i was hitting it, on the persons screen i just killed it looked like i was hitting grass. Would the server know to show each computer the same area the body fell to?

Apparently..Its HL2 Engine :O

Yes, I'm pretty sure it will. But thats what beta tests are for.

Ragdolls are client side and will be different for everyone on the server.

:( bah o well, atleast i (wont) have to lead on

Ah, yes, but there are loopholes in this.

The fact that one body might obstruct ones views, thinking they are hidding behind a body, when one someone elses view, is clear, and you can see them REALLY clearly. Loophole.

we'll i know shit about ragdoll, but it will start when a player is dead, right?

So i guess, there won't be dramatic differences between the two clients, cause they start with the same model at the same movement and stuff....

The barrels and stuff wil be clientsided too i think i read somewhere.....we'll have to see if there will be probs with that :dozey:

yep with the barrelsrolling in diff directions :|

If it is client side i can see a possible anger within the css comunity, as this would mean you're camping behind a barrel that isnt even there, or are we just talking player models?

i believe the center of gravity of the ragdoll as a whole is kept track of server side, while the position of all the limbs sorts itself out client side.
