Is there a small section of yinz here who play World of Warcaft and/or Diablo3? If so that would be wonderful and i would very much like to mindlessly grind away with you.

Some folk used to play eve online, not sure if they still do.

Eh, im not gonna call it shit but it sure has gone downhill. But, its been a part of my life for the past 7 years so i dont think ill stop playing any time soon. Never got in to eve though. Oh well, thanks for the response

I'd like to suggest that its a great time to stop esp if you have been playing it for 7 years. There is a lot more to life then running around on an ugly ass game as a panda repeatedly killing the same group of goblins in the same dungon to unlock a +1 bamboo stick of gayness.

Try a new game, or buy a mountain bike and get outside.

Or buy a dslr and take up photography or somthing

This i can agree with. Infernal Machine and monster power brought me back to it. I've been off and on ever since.

Why I will never go back to WoW.
The advances they're pitched can't be made for the botting community is too strong.

Just play a more recent MMO for 10 hours and you can see the age of WoW. Not only for the graphics engine but as well as user interaction and interface.

The reason a lot of people have been playing for so long and will continue to play, is the "I've already invested a lot of time and money into this, I can't quit now" mentality.

I play it once or twice a week, my GF plays a ton more than I do. I don't see it as a bad game, it's a good time waster although there are better time wasters out there. People on this forum are just elitists. You can't really call it bad when it has millions of players after years and years of it's release. It's fun. A tiny bit dated, but so what? Graphics don't make all of a game. I mean yea, it'd be a bit better with modern graphics, but it's not a game breaker at all.

At the Blizzard store right now you can get Cataclysm for $10, and a battle chest with the game and Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King for $5. Pretty good deal.

I had played Rift and SWTOR when they first came out. I'll admit that there was a lot of parts to these games that i enjoyed better than WoW. The Crafting in SWTOR was amazing. But i think of it this way. Blizzard has had 8 years to get it right with that game. That's why it is so good. No game can just come out and beat that. Atleast in my opinion.
