kane and Lynch 2

kane & lynch is a decent game. you should try it, if you like hitman's style. gamespot thing wasn't io's, but eidos' (now dead for good) fault. io is working on hitman 5.
 
nice I'll check it out then. I did like the premise behind it :)
 
First one was alright, despite the fact that most of people seemed to hated that game. I'm looking forward to play the sequel.
 
kane and Lynch was often compared to Men of War, which came out around the same time. Men of War was garbage imho, Kane and Lynch was much more fun. will probably rent this
 
Kane and Lynch had a good plot but it was just a horribly executed game. Below subpar gameplay and visuals. The only redeeming value about the first game is the soundtrack by Jesper Kyd.
 
I am both exited for this and hitman 5 when they announce it. They are trying to improve a lot over the last one from what have read. More specifically the cover system and the shooting mechanics which everyone apparently hated.
 
Kane and Lynch had average visuals and gameplay, but a pretty decent story and a lot of style - rare in videogames. I enjoyed it quite a bit, looking forward to a far more polished sequel.

And while we're on the subject of unfairly derided videogames - The Getaway and Driver 3 weren't too bad either goddammit.
 
I never played it but I was under the impression that the getaway was good, well the first one anyway O_o

I actually only played the demo version (on a computer using FX5500), is it that bad? IIRC shooting was quite annoying, IDK. Like I said, it's similar to Hitman games, and I don't agree about visuals.
 
I enjoyed the first game. It was unrelentingly grim, but was an ok shooter and only really took a dip when it headed to Central America. I think it got an unfair rap because of all of the Jeff Gherstmann stuff, but tbh watch the review he made and tell me you don't think there wasn't something deeply off about what he says at the end: -

Frankly I'd never heard of the guy prior to the internets uproar (though for all we really know he could of been given the sack for sexually harassing a college intern in reality and K&L has recived an unfair rap for it), but I don't think he gave it a fair shake of the dice and a lot of that was mainly down to the fact that he just didn't like the characters more than anything else.

Anyhows, this looks interesting. The viral campaign was pretty ****ed up, so I'm invested in terms of where they are taking this.
