Kane & Lynch 2 Demo Now Available on Steam

Thanks for the heads-up, installing now, will see how it runs on my PC.
 
Played the sp demo on my PS3 but was utterly underwhelmed.
 
So is it good, or bad on PC?
 
Hmm, worked the first two times I played it, now it crashes on startup.
 
i thought it was better than the first but the guns just feel too weak, aiming isn't tight enough (still better than the firsts tho) and altho i like the new change in visual style its lost the michael mann appeal of the first.

Plus they don't seem to have done much with the switching of the protagonists (a shame considerin in the first game lynch was easily the more interesting character).

I'll rent to see it through but i was going to buy it originally =/

This. Weapons still feel crappy, but damn the youtube style makes it feel more brutal. At least the aiming is better.

On Shacknews, a poster named "Funkdrum" also reported a virus alert when he tried to download the demo. It might be an anti-virus overreating with one of the files, but to be on the safe side I'd contact tech support to see what that's all about.
 
Multiplayer is buggy. I crashed a couple of times. Also, the matchmaking is horrible.
The lobby system is as shitty as Red Faction: Guerrilla's lobby system.

Singleplayer is ok but i ****ing hate the camera effects. It's very distracting.
 
I am downloading this solely to try out the multiplayer because I liked the sound of it.

Other than that I've never cared for this game nor its predecessor.
 
The only thing that bothered me (a lot) in the demo was the camera shake.

Otherwise I did enjoy it.
 
Loved the first one, regardless of public opinion, downloading on mah 360 now.

EDIT: Played it, SP demo is a but short, but I liked it, gonna try MP soon.

the people who get offended are usually people I don't care to get to know. I say it knowing I'm offending and possibly hurting some individuals, but I'm a sadist and a demon or whatever. If those guys/gals didn't have shit like being politically correct to worry about, they'd just sit around hating themselves anyways. Social progress is never made without those who remind us what once was. It's like the words Mick or Wap, etc in the U.S. no longer offend because they just seem trite, silly.

I'm with J.K. Rowling, my favorite supporter of Witchcraft on the issue with her commentary where it slowly becomes more acceptable to say Voldamort. Nothing empowers unmentionable subjects like banning their titles, names and signifiers/signified. That's what scares me about the censorship in Germany at times, I'm a Jew with extended family that took the showers, etc, but I see no reason why someone can't get their ass beat or chewed out by the general public for being a dumbass for wearing a nazi armband around Berlin.

I hate law based on arbitrary PC bullshit, the education system in Germany is probably amongst the best in the world for teaching the holocaust. Actions, not expressions, should be be punishable by the powers that be. Expressions are judged quite adequately by the people themselves, as countless societies continue to demonstrate.



That being said, don't say ****** in public--you'll get beat up. common sense helps in these situations.

game won't even launch so yeah...no interest here. if developers can't even make proper demos I have no hope for the rest of the game.
 
ok i take it back i'm buying this. I just tried out the online mp on the ps3 demo (i refuse to pay for xbox live) and i thought it was pretty damn fun, really enjoyable :D

and there is an addictive quality almost to keep playing to try and better yourself and steal more loot each time, great stuff :)
 
If this is anything like the first one it is going to KICK ASS.

The first one had a great storyline and great mechanics.

It's like the sequel to "Freedom Fighters" that never came out IMO. I'm REALLY looking forward to this one.

First impressions look pretty good, I loved the presentation as a whole, especially the music and menu.

Matchmaking is sketchy, but thats to be expected of a demo. Will comment on the gameplay later.

lol Why are you surprised? The first game was a piece of shit too.
The only redeeming feature was Jesper Kyd's soundtrack. This one doesn't even have that.
 
My face when the game is actually alright and people are using Metacritic as an accurate representation of the game's worth and Lambda is being an overreactive 'tard as usual.
