For those of you who aren't familiar with Karl Rove he is pretty much Bush's brain, officially his closest advisor. In July 2003 someone in the white house leaked the name of a undercover CIA operative, Valerie Plame, to discredit her husband who refuted the administration's claims about Saddam. Over the weekend Rove's lawyer admitted that Rove was in the notes as a source for Cooper, one of the reporters that broke the story containing the agent's name. For those that aren't familiar with US law releasing the name of an active undercover CIA agent is not only highly illegal but it is also treason, making Rove a traitor.

Sources in congress are saying that Rove will be charged within a week but nobody has been able to confirm this yet. So are liberals still the traitors? I can't wait for a right winger on here to come in and defend the actions of Rove, saying treason is okay if you are a republican.
The e- mails surrendered by Time Inc., which are largely between Cooper and his editors, show that one of Cooper's sources was White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, according to two lawyers who asked not to be identified because they are representing witnesses sympathetic to the White House. Cooper and a Time spokeswoman declined to comment. But in an interview with NEWSWEEK, Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, confirmed that Rove had been interviewed by Cooper for the article.
