Kid arrested for making map of school for video game

Real question is: Where can I get teh map and what game is it for?
 
I was planning on making a map of my school for CS, but didn't. Reason? The damn 100m hallways would be AWPer heaven.
 
I'm just going to wait until we find out that the map was for the Sims.

I always wanted to make a post apocolyptic version of my highschool and use it as a base or something for one faction of survivors. I think it would be cool to use a school as a refuge after the world as we knew it was destroyed. I was too lazy to ever do it though.

This reminds me of that battlefield 2 video story, where the guy put that spoof song from Team America over footage of MEC soldiers shooting rpgs at blackhawks.

It's ****ing sad. So ****ing sad, I feel sorry for the mapper and his family.

I cant find any mention as to what game it was or whether there was any shooting involved ..I mean how many maps have you played based on real life enviroments? should those map makers be rounded up as "potential terrorists"?

the community really shouldnt stand for this. mappers from the area should band together and turn themselves in to the nearest police station as a sign of protest, just to show them how ****ing ridiculous this situation is.

not if its a significant number of people. can you imagine a group of over 50 people walking into a police station claiming that they are guilty of creating ingame assets ?.

Anyhows, I doubt they'll be coming for me. We're slightly more sane over here.

I think this is a pure discrimination against Asian, isn't it? If the authority don't do a damn thing to remedy. This instance will be an insult to all Asian, and an insult to all gamers, since the school think all Asians and fps gamers are terrorists.
 
I remember returning Unreal when I was like 13 cause I couldn't get the map editor to work. I really wanted to map out my house and school and stuff...

To think I was so close to becoming a terrorist. Chills to the bone. To the BONE I say.

Or is it a crime to draw maps?
 
I assume it was 'planning for mass killing of everyone in the school'.

The boy was placed in the district's alternate education school and later arrested, as the police considered him a "terroristic threat".
