Kid builds homemade rocket launcher

Lol. I've built missles, but never a launcher. I want to try that.

It makes me wish HL2.net had stuff like this sometimes. Seems like SA is always up to something as a community.
 
It's actually nothing like a potato gun. I encourage you to actually read it.
 
The concept is exactly the same. Construct PVC pipe into a tube, wire up an ignition source, provide fuel (be it rocket engine or propane gas), fire projectile.

It's nice and very well constructed, but nothing to gawk at.

It'd be more impressive if he made explosive rockets... This thing he's doing is not risky at all compared to that flamethrower that one kid made.

No chance for horrible burns/disfigurement is not very interesting.

If the armored vehicle is made of sheet paper or at the most... corugated cardboard, and off away in some random direction other than the direction the launcher was facing.
 
There's no way that thing could pierce cardboard..

It's essentially useless.. But still pretty cool.
 
That is simply retarded. Although, I guess I would have thought it was cool when I was 12 or 13.
 
For anyone that's interested, a more primitive version of this weapon is a scaffold pole and regular fireworks.

No, but it will get you mistaken for one.

I find all that slightly scary and rather freakish.
 
Load of cack, if i managed to build a rocket launcher that fired straight i'm sure he can.

Mine looked better imo, was green with wooden stock..looked really eastern block.

Basically all he has there is a piece of pipe with a battery and wires, if he made a wire guided launcher....or at least something that shoots straight i WOULD be impressed.
 
I'm sure the launcher fires straight, it's just that his rockets really really suck.
 
Perhaps if the launcher was converted into a "recoiless rifle", and shot gas canisters, it would do more damage.
