Well, I would have to say that it has the best visuals and animation I've ever seen in an FPS. Here's to hoping it's more than just a mindless shooter, unlike the first one. Seems to be a common plight of recent FPS games. Release date is set for February 09, so they have a lot of time to add content. It looks to me like the engine is pretty much done.

Considering how average Killzone 1 felt to me, I'm not getting my hopes up.

But hey, the devs might have learned their lessons and we might truly get a really really good FPS.

But the animations were nice, the most impressive were from the scripted moments however.
 
Looks like shit. I'd play Episode 2 over this any day.
 
The explosions are some of the best i've seen tbh

See the exploding barrels are still strong.

Muzzle flash needs work.

I'd still like to see some more physics stuff in next gen, few games on next gen seem to implement it at all except for the obligatory shoot cups crap.

and Jimbo GTA IV explosions look better.
 
at school so i cant watch atm. Is it anything like the "supposedly ingame gameplay" video from the E3 back in the day?
 
Looked just like the CGI movie to me. I thught they couldn't deliver that but they did I think.
 
Looks extremely nice and considering they have 9 months left to tweak it, I would not worry about how it looks. Whether or not I will be interested in anything different it may provide in terms of story and gameplay is another issue altogether. Gears did NOTHING for me. It looked pretty, but I only lasted about an hour before I got bored as heck. Graphics will NOT do it alone.
 
I think it looks great. It gives met he same feeling as the halo game play footage did. To be more precise
the smoothness of the animations and high frame rate. I remember being really impressed by how smooth
halo 3 ran in the most intense situations and this looks like that. I think those things really contribute to
how alive a game feels. However that said, I hated Killzone 1 and it had nothing to do with the graphics or
anything technical, it all had to do with deliberate game play decisions. And I'm pretty sure, I'm not going
to like this.
 
CoD4 singleplayer was pure shite. Multiplayer on the other hand...

Graphics are astonishing, but gameplay-wise, I saw nothing particularly impressive :/

Good graphics and particle effects from video 1, but it just doesn't look promising in the long run. Now Mirror's edge...

Why don't we gamers as a whole stand up and scream out to developers, "GRAPHICS SHOULDN'T COME FIRST!"

Expletives are allowed and encouraged.

The absolute best games coming out don't have cutting edge visuals. GTA IV and Sins of a Solar Empire are two examples. And Galactic Civilizations II a while ago. And despite what anybody says, GTA IV doesn't have cutting edge visuals.

Well, what were you expecting? For what had to be optimized for, its pretty good. Same thing with Company of Heroes. It was not "cutting edge" visuals, but for an RTS it was fantastic.
 
The graphics are amazing, if the gameplay is half as good the game should be pretty worthwhile.

All who are saying the gameplay looks lame...it looks no different from EVERY other FPS out there. Including ones you prize so highly as HL2. The graphics are fantastic, and while that doesn't make a game, it sure as shit helps.
 
Honestly, no. I've seen it in action. It looked competent. Nothing groundbreaking, but did look fun nonetheless.
 
I don't know if the gameplay is bad or not, because honestly, I WAS STARING AT THE GORGEOUS PRETTY SCREEN
 
Killzone 1 was 100% shit. This looks nice and could be good, but in no way is it the best looking game out. Crysis still #1.
 
I honestly don't think crysis looks as good as that.
 
I love these games where the character shakes and moves alot, makes you feel like your gettin down and dirty.
