On Friday we had our ethic class (where we talk about death, abortion etc).

It was going fine until our teacher arrived (she's around 30 and I'd totally shag her if she wanted me to), she was looking very confused. We'd never seen her looking this way before. She had her hands on the desk and was staring down at it. She then said she was going to give us a few articles on abortion, and that we had to write an essay about it. Then all of a sudden her hands started shaking and tears began to run down her cheeks. We were all like "holy momma, this is whack, yo, sup wit dis bitch??".

She knew we were already doing work on the death of Terry Schiavo, but since some people in the class may have problems with that topic, she decided to give us some work to do on abortion instead.

That's when her tears really started to pour. "And because I myself have just lost someone close to me a few minutes ago, we will go on with the subject of abortion", she said.

We were totally shocked. I guess someone phoned the school to tell her the news, because otherwise she would've stayed home. So all of us were silent as we wrote our essays. All the while she was standing looking out of the window, silently crying. I wonder why no teacher came to give her the rest of the day off

thx Stardog for the edit

Holy run on sentences batman!

Sorry to hear that I guess?

Yeah, I think I don't understand the last section, "then she really started poring tears..." - I'm not sure what you're saying happened. Please rephrase...

then copy and paste it and correct it. Il delete all of it and then Il type that you superman corrected for me :hmph:

kinda hot eh :naughty:
lol jk, that's pretty odd, I can understand women crying all the time, it's possible something else involving her personal life had just happened and sad things just made her cry :(

That is very unfortunate. I too am supprised no one relieved her of the class.

I know what its like to loose someone very close to you (my dad) and it just leaves you (or me anyway) in a very confused state for a little while afterwards. I didnt really know what to think or do for the next few days so it doesnt supprise me that she broke down into tears like that. She probably didnt know what to do, someone probably should have sent her home and relieved her or canceled the class entirely.

maybe it's something to do with an abotion.

kay...sry If im not a good typer and story teller
she cried like a baby

There's nothing you can really do except to cheer her up with some presents and stuff. However, don't expect her to be there Monday...

P.S. Sig = too big.

none of you tried to cheer her up or console her. I mean that is only natural thing to do. well i hope she starts to feel better. dealing with this things is really hard id imagine.

Then again, maybe they don't spy on staff member's phone calls, and can't see through walls.

Umm, 2 questions...

1) What is a "Hagfahsfhfghsfgfg"

2) Why are you "so mad :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: " ?

Exactly.

Suggest you all either say something remotely on topic or shhhh

Thanks Stardog. I woulda figured it out but it's late here and I'm tired.
LemonKing, that's a really moving story.
I'm sure you appreciate what a dedicated teacher you have to have held herself together enough to take the class, despite her loss. You should look out for her in the future...

I know but shes a teacher how should I approach her?

like other people i find it hard to believe she came back into class, surely she would have asked someone to get her things and send the class to study hall or whateva you kids do these days for free periods/classes, a bit odd alright.

you should all just by her flowers like my class did back in the day when my english teachers dad died.

lol why did you go on talking about your assignment so in depth? You tells us so much about your assignment that I could've sworn it was gonna tie in the story some how. Like, some distant memory related to it triggered your teacher's emotional trauma (i.e. she had an abortion or someone close to her did). Anyway, I'm sorry this happened. I'd offer some comforting words but I wouldn't be overly attentive. These things take time and I'm sure she has relatives that will offer her emotional support.

didnt see the relevance of the 'i would shag' part either *shrugs*

tough blow to her really...shouldnt she have waited until she had dealt with her grief before bringing it to the classroom?!

Yeah, but Nascar is way better than any of this crap. You can tell some of that is fake.
I think they should have put a little more effert into that story.
And maybe use pixel shaders, and facial animations.
Uhhh what?

That's not something to joke about.

And no shit it's something involving her personal life.

Yeah, cos you always think clearly when a friend dies, don't you Sabre...

DANIMAL: If you don't know what that word means why are you using it?

Aw, lemonking you should have given her a big hug :) and then gone out and found a teacher to take the class.

I would have, although maybe not the hug, we get the teachers in trouble for that sort of thing ;)

It just sucks becuz she always had a great attitude and now I think she will never will happy again ;(

Well, I found it a bit funny.

Not her personal problem, but rather Ermac screeching SHAG!

I don't like your tone young lady, hush.

That's pretty sad. :(

It must not have been a close enough relative for her to need to be excused. Obviously she didn't really need it, she just cried silently for a bit. If I were in her situation, I would rather be with my class to comfort me instead of alone at home.

We had this sexual education thing called Project Know in high school. It was a man and woman who taught it. Well a week after they had come to our school the woman who taught it was murdered by some native american kid. One of my "...holy sh!t.." experiences.
