Know any FREE mmorpg's ?

Hi, ever since I saw "Neocron" I have always wanted a mmorpg, but all of the decent ones I have come accross you have to pay a dam monthly fee, which really puts me off because i'm only 16 and dont have a credit card.
Well back to the point...does anyone know a DECENT, FREE online RPG ?, ive tried Runescape but i plain hated it.
 
In a word. No. To be honest i don't think you will find a decent MMOG thats free. The rubbish ones are normally rubbish because they aren't funded properly. Although, in the future there might be free ones, or possibly cheaper ones anyway. Since so many are being made now that wouldn't surprise me.

Anyway, sorry I cant help, I'm sure that someone else might. You will just have to do what i do and freeload by signing up for ever beta you can :).
 
Yep, if you want to play the really good MMORPG's, you're going to need to pay.

I'm registering as simmo or simmo2k3, depends which one is taken :p, keep an eye out for me :D

BTW, whats the aim of this game ?, what do I do ?, etc etc
 
Runescpae used to be free. i'm not sure now. I played when there was 1 server, max people that I ever saw online was 430. only 2 towns.... them were the days...

Its like every other MMORPG....its about "lvl:ing" :)
 
yeah dude, get diablo 2, it costs like 40 bucks but its free to play online
 
There's the open-source game Planeshift, though an mmo in development (very, very early stages of development in fact) isn't much fun to play.

It's gone a long way though, when I first checked in on it, the world was just one massive green plain. Planeshift indeed.

It looks promising though, which is why I take a look-see every once in a while.

heh, i'm suprised nobody's mentioned RuneScape. That's the best free one I've ever played (besides Graal, but don't go there).

Diablo 2 isn't really a MMORPG. It's fun for quite a while if you play it right :p
 
I played a game before called Risk Your Life, but I think it was officially called Game Myth, its korean but tonnes of english people play on it, but its 2 gigs :(

It was also hard to get, now I think I'll try to play RT

Wow i jsut checked out the site. That does look promising. Some of the ideas about politics and economy sound interesting

Is Priston tales bigger than what I think it is ?, all I know of is the town you start in, which is very small and another small area where you go leveling (killing monsters) and thats is, is there more to this game ?
