Have a look. You will find all the good classics such as: The Jews control the media. The Jews control the economy. The Jews were responsible for 9.11, the Jews killed the Indians(that's a new one!), and the Jews control Hollywood(Apparently they don't control the great anti-Jew warrior Melvin Gibsons!). Anyway, it's from a Korean comic designed for kids. Here's the best parts: 1 - The author has apologized to... wait for it... wait for it... "Korean Americans". 2 - The author has spent over 10 years in Germany and visited several concentration camps and claims he knows "as well as anybody how much the Jews suffered and how cruel the Nazis' barbarity was."

And that -

"I have no bias of any kind against Jews and I have always opposed racism." Starting with the next edition he plans to replace the problem portions."

There are three possible explanations for his actions -

1 - He's Anti-Semitic.

2 - He spent just a tiny bit too much time in the lovely country of Germany.

3 - He's somehow involved with the "Anti-War Crowd"

I'd ask for the opinion of the Korean guy who posts here(I won't call him "Numbers" because that would liken me to Solaris), but I'm not so sure I wanna risk finding out how far the "Truther" ideology has penetrated Korea.

I've read that comic, yes, it says that the jews have a large control on the media, politics, ect. But he's actually admiring them a bit.
 
He has an intriguing way of showing it. I think it's a bit more than simply saying that jews have a large amount of control over anything when you... Ugh, let me put it this way -

Notice the... scary similarity? The message is the same, and that's what worries me. If that's how Koreans show their admiration for people, they'll have a hard time gaining allies or friends! :-S

I've never noticed, though.

Meh. I've read his comics, even the ones dating from 1985. He does write some perhaps biased views on things, but he tends to write from a very neutral point of view. Besides, he writes about patriotism; "As a son of the Great Nation of Han, It is my duty to defend my fatherland with my life.", and that makes him good in my book.
 
Please note that Numbers is a brainwashed member of South Korean society. :D

He's still a good guy though. Just a little brainwashed.

Oh, and there was also the comic about us being surrounded, from the north by teh rebel scum, and to the south-east by Japan. :)


I think he dislikes Japan, but he still writes about why we misunderstand them.

I've never quite understood this concept, but mostly for the concept "Why does it matter?". Just because someone belongs to an ethnic group doesn't mean they're going to force it to the JEW/HOMOSEXUAL/BLACK AGENDA. I mean, Christ, the Internet is probably mostly white people and east asians - does that make the Internet evil?

I wonder how far the "truther" community has really evolved in South Korea. When stuff like this is published just like that, something in Korea is royally ****ed up.

But I've gotta admit - They get one thumb up for originality - I've never heard the one about Jews killing the Native Americans before. I guess, having killed the dinosaurs, that would only be a natural progression, right LemonTunaenema?

Well the jews DO control the media, the press, a lot of banks if not most, at least in America. And that's because they've got a mentality to work and study hard, people just get jealous over their life success. Is there a difference whether you're under the control of the jews, europeans, afro-americans or latins ?

I am honestly bewildered by this trend of defending religions that you don't believe in. Given that the US gives Israel a disproportionate shit-ton of aid, you'd think that the jews could stick up for themselves.
But instead we get dumb conspiracy theories on one side and Godwin's Law reactionism on the other.

Look, stating the fact that Israel isn't even close to getting the congeniality prize for Miss Humanitarian 2007 doesn't make you a Nazi, but stating there's a conspiracy does make you Lemonking.

Can't we get some middle ground instead of the poles of idiocy?

Think of it like a globe: Lemesis is the arctic and Nemonking is the antarctic;

in between these barren ideological wastelands, we have the pleasant world where people actually want to live.

Please get off of your pedestal, Mecha. And, if you don't have anything to say, don't post.

One thing that quite frankly amazes me is how Numbers feels about this. He doesn't really seem to take it too hard. I guess if the majority of people over there don't really take things like this serious, well, then I guess they really should re-examine their values. But then again, who am I to judge? My kinsmen drew Muhammed.

Anyway, it would really be interesting to get another Korean perspective on this. I know people are different from region to region. Asia has been relatively quiet on issues like this, but then again, South-East Asia seems to be quiet about a lot of things. Apart from North Korea and Japan, of course! :)
 
We actually have no reason to hate jews. We have none in our territories, and if I recall correctly, Mr. Rhie was the one who who criticized goverment policy of not granting Jews resident registeration, due to terrorism.

There is a vast difference between prejudice and actual judgement, because one has thought put into it.
I am informing that you have not yet acheived the latter.

It's not unreasonable to ask for a basic framework behind what you say, in place of the already-mentioned "jewish good, muslim bad" shtick. The fact that I agree with your basic conclusion (that conspiracy theories are stupid) does not mean you aren't saying things that sound very, very dumb.

The majority of Jews, especially the Zionists and Israelis, just want people to leave them alone already. I'm not saying there aren't Jewish supremacists and there are most certainly radical Zionists who would want to use propaganda and lobbying to achieve their ends, but that group of Zionists shouldn't represent all Zionists. They are what they are, and we are what we are.

The thing is that for some, being 'a jew' is far more than a matter of religion. If I'm not mistaken, one has to have a Jewish mother to legitimately practise the religion; this, combined with a pressure within Jewish culture to marry within the faith, gives the whole thing an ethnic dimension. I think there are grounds for asserting that Judaism is more than just a religion, but also, in some ways, a 'race' (much as I loathe the term and concept of 'races').
 
And as such, it would be nice if we had our own country where we could peacefully practice our religion (and by peacefully I mean nobody trying or wanting to kill us daily).

The whole idea of any country existing for a certain religion is just silly and is always going to end in tears.

Secularism makes everybody safer.
 
On the Palestinians:

Back in the late 1800s up until the 1920s, there were already Jews (mostly teens, actually) living in Jerusalem and a lot of modern Israel, cultivating it and trying to restore the swamps to livable land. When certain groups of Arabs saw their tremendous success at taming the swamps, they came in to reap the benefits of the teen Jews' hard work. When the British came in to make Israel part of the mandate, they saw that Jews were already becoming the majority in 'Palestine' and that in order to both claim the country as their own and maintain Arab support (and thus continue oil sales), they had to make Arabs the majority. That's when the British put 'Palestine' under the British Mandate and deported Jews by the thousands, even going so far as to deliver them into the hands of the Nazis. Thus, Arabs became the majority in Israel, and in order to secure their 'historical origins' in the land, they began to call themselves Palestinians.

Now let's fast-forward a few decades into when Israel is approved by the U.N. and the Palestinian refugee camps are established. There was an almost insignificantly small population of Palestinians at first, until the U.N. and U.S. benefits started coming in. When Arabs from surrounding countries saw the great treatment the U.S. and U.N. was giving to the Palestinians in these refugee camps (in the form of shelter, food, money, etc.), those neighboring Arabs came in to reap the benefits for themselves, claiming to also be Palestinians. That's why the population of Palestinians would outnumber that of Israelis today.

As for having a country for each religion, I too agree that secularism is better. But if Jews had their own country that wasn't constantly under attack, there's a smaller chance that Pogroms will start up again (by which I'm not suggesting you move us somewhere else, I'm just saying it would be better once the Arabs leave us alone). And don't say they won't because the history of the Jews has been the same for 50,000 years or more. We already know every step of the cycle.

Nah, I don't buy that. There may be some "pressure" but that pressure is, itself, another aspect of the religion.
You better believe that tons of christians refuse inter-faith and/or interracial marriages.
So, is christianity a race too?

Your genetic makeup has absolutely nothing to do with religious ideology. It's all a matter of abandonning/corrupting basic logic.

That's true. My point was that because of the whole mother-must-be-jewish thing the religion in a sense defines itself as something hereditary, something racial...and that because of that, anti-semitism most often takes the form of racism rather than simple hate of the religion. And although hatred of Islam, when it's irrational, can take the form of prejudice towards - I dunno, all arabs, or all people with beards - I think it's far more ethnic with anti-semitism.

People generally seem to hate Islam because it's a violent religion.
Meanwhile, I've rarely seen people criticise jews because of the religion or ideology. Rather they seem to focus on stereotypes and lies more remeniscent of racism...

EDIT: Then again, perhaps I'm entirely wrong since this doesn't seem to apply to the OP's source.

None of which remotely undermines your case because it's not like Nemesis has ever (in my memory) made a clear and comprehensive case for his opinion - nor has he applied his criticisms to, say, the Israelis, who one might assert are guilty of much the same things that inspire hate in him when he sees them in Islam (bombing innocents, that sort of thing).

In any case, I too am curious about the exact purpose of this thread.

Well I disagree,I just think how we (the west) managed that whole thing was wrong,everybody deserves a home BUT,don't use a frigging fantasy book as an excuse for land ownership.
