Here's a CNN article about it

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/11/22/business/south-korea-us-trade/index.html?hpt=ias_c2

An opposition lawmaker threw a tear gas canister shortly before the vote in his effort to stop the vote but failed as the bill was passed by a vote of 151 to 7.

I laughed, then became very sad. Communists are in government now.

Btw, the guy wasn't even arrested. He's a member of the Democratic Labor Party, also known as the communists.

Also confirms my theory of Universal Politician Retardation, derived from the theory of universal human retardation.

Edit: A YS-44 grenade is a hand thrown tear gas grenade with CN gas + Chloropicirin (CCl3NO2) mass produced in Korea since the early 1980s. Since we stopped using tear gas after the 90s, most of them were exported to places like Israel, but a lot of the things are in storage. Wonder how he got his hands on one.

Civic groups and opposition lawmakers opposed the ratification of the deal, saying South Korea will lose its economic sovereignty.

By Seoul's estimates, the trade deal will boost the country's gross domestic product by 5.6%. However, the farming sector is expected to suffer a loss of anywhere up to 2.28 trillion won (nearly $2 billion) in production, according to the Korea Rural Economic Institute.

The U.S. International Trade Commission estimates that the lowering of Korean tariffs and tariff-rate quotas on goods alone will add $10 billion to $12 billion to annual U.S. GDP and around $10 billion to annual merchandise exports to Korea.
It sounds like the GNP is selling off the country's industry to American businesses. And just in time for Christmas! :V

That might be true if this was the 50s and we were still an agricultural country. The truth is, strategic reserves notwithstanding, what we export to the US (electronics, ships, cars, machinery, etc.) completely dwarfs that of what the agricultural industry actually produces.

The US is fooling itself if it thinks this will be better for them though. (Tbh, it won't hurt them; trade restrictions don't do shit except artificially alter the exchange rate from a macro perspective.)

And to think how excited everyone got when that one dude threw a shoe at the president.

KOREA DONT **** AROUND MAN

I welcome korea to the club of countryes where parlamentaries go fighting each other, something ya prudes europeans dont have

I dont think the shoe incident is comparable since it was someone attacking a leader of another country, especially a country that invaded

Hahaha wtf shoe monument. Maybe Koreans will start dancing around hand grenades to celebrate this day

off course I know it wasnt a attack per see (though technically is a agression) but it doesnt compare to the korean gas grenade incident imo

and everyone knew about the meaning of the shoe trowing

He needs to upgrade Zerg projectile attacks. You can't rely on Zerglings forever. Hydralisks and roaches etc.

It's funny because Starcraft.
