Yeah. I don't like either. But if I had to pick, I'd choose KOTOR.

KOTOR has a good story, excellent plot twist, and decent gameplay. But every Final Fantasy game has a longerstory, which tends to be more involving - and even if the graphics aren't that good, the enviroments are still superb to behold. The World Map gave a sense of freedom among a linear plot, especially near the end of the games where you can travel around at your own leisure collecting secrets.

I'm not going to say Final Fantasy games are better than KOTOR, because it all depends on your opinions. If you prefer action-RPGs with a decent story and spectacular worlds, you'll prefer KOTOR. If, like me, you prefer long, involving scenes, complex battles demanding good strategies and a trumendously involving story, they you'd prefer Final Fantasy.

What you can't say is "what the hell is wrong with you mofo's. KOTOR is 10x all the ff's combined". That would just be silly.

Any FF game before FF VIII, esspecially FF VII is better then KOTOR, I mean I liked KOTOR but it came out years after the good FF games

FF VII is waaaaaaayy overrated, there are spome games that are still fun after years, but this game is not one of them. I recently wanted to begin playing it again, and my god this game hasn't aged well. FFVIII on the other hand is still very good. Many people take FFVIII for granted.
About the the story lines, yes ff games have rich stories but certainly not as involving and brilliant as kotor, I mean in ff games you just click through text and have no influence, in kotor you have, and in kotor your choices really make a diffrence, in truly brilliant ways.

The only FF game I liked was FF7. So I'm voting KOTOR. The first game was amazing, and even though the second game was a tragic victim of Lucasarts' prickery, it's still very involving.

I've found the FF games to be extremely overrated. Zero connection between the games. Long, drawn-out, and ridiculous "stories". The typical anime-ish crappola that I've frankly grown tired of (and is one of the reasons I completely skipped over the PS2). Give me the Force and a lightsaber any day. At least I can properly role play and develop my character as I see fit.

KOTOR is a boring game. They took their template of Neverwinter Knights, then added the Star Wars universe to it, but came out with a game worse than Neverwinter and nowhere near as good as any Final Fantasy games.

I never played FFIX but from what I read it would probably be my favorite, and I to remmebrd ffVII the most, I had such great memories of it. But like I said, it's mostly nostalgia. if you would try to play it now, you'll see that FFVIII really did set a standard and is much more fun.

FF6 tbh. The charm slowly drained out of the series after this. The games became less magic, an adolescent 'cyber punk' theme began to take over, and gameplay started to be replaced with cutscenes.

Final Fantasy 7 is the best
Kotor 1 is second
Kotor 2 is third

(but I never played any other FFs except 7 and 8)

The Final Fantasy games are sooo much better in every aspect (Characters..storyline..etc.)

They're quite equal actually. Though, the KOTOR games have WAY better voice evers than FFX.
