Hey, I know its been decreed that its not allowed, but I'm apparently making one anyways. I am drunk and making a thread about it. I was playing prototype up until a few minutes ago when my roomate asked me to get on the internet and look up what blood in puke generally meant. From my drunk googling it seems that light colored blood in puke just means shes got a cut somewhere in her mouth or esophogus whereas dark blood is much worse. He said his fiancee was puking up lightly colored blood with her vomit (she drank way, way too much before we noticed and cut her off). So hopefully its not bad.

We were about to watch Arrested development but then we noticed her not looking good at all. She was really happy when i went to the bathroom, when I got out she looked like she might have been dying. So I told my friend to check on her and make sure shes alright. What are the signs of alcohol poisoning? I need to know in case we need to get her to a hospital.

Geez Krynn, why don't you just google the symptoms. Lazy sod.

Lol jk brohaun, here you go:
* Confusion, stupor
* Vomiting
* Seizures
* Slow breathing (less than eight breaths a minute)
* Irregular breathing
* Blue-tinged skin or pale skin
* Low body temperature (hypothermia)
* Unconsciousness ("passing out")

Despite the possibly dire circumstances, I couldnt help but laugh at this pic why my friends roomate was vomiting in the bathroom.

I know im double posting but my roomate just asked if there is anyway to reduce the amount of vomiting from drunkness. All i know of is water.

From what I know, water is bad for puking, just makes you puke more. But there may be an exception with drunkness.

Eat a lot of bread. Actually, that's pre-drinking. :x

Uhh. Pee?

Uh keep her conscious, if she's lying down make sure she's on her side, cold showers and coffee do nothing.

Here:

The following represent other alcohol poisoning symptoms and signs and alcohol poisoning effects:

  • Absent reflexes
  • Slurred speech
  • No withdrawal from painful stimuli (for instance from pinching)
  • Confusion
  • Difficulty awakening the person
  • Erratic behavior
  • Seizures
  • Feeling very ill including long, drawn-out vomiting
  • Slow, shallow, or irregular breathing
  • Blue-tinged skin or pale skin
  • Inability to make eye contact or sustain a conversation
  • Unconsciousness (passing out)

heay shut up zt, this is important.

Shes and her fiancee are in the bathroom, and shes puking up everything and sounds like shes in bad condition. this is the only second time ive been drunk like this and she sounds bad. She and my friend have been drinking for long than me and she keeps saying shes scared so its probably kinda bad. Its it alright to let her sleep?

As long as she's like Stigmata's post, then yes. Keep her in the bathroom.

Good luck with her - just make sure you keep her fluids up, give water and whatnot for whatever she is loosing.

We're contemplating calling 911 now. Shes getting pretty pale and apparently can't concentrate on him. and has been puking for a long time.

Even if you get in contact with paramedics or the dispatch - either one should be able to talk your through the situation - probably the best idea...

Blood in urine = your going to die in a few years.

Blood in vomit = ???

I had pinkish, slightly bloody vomit after a night of binge drinking once. I think it was just from horrible stomach/esophagus irritation and nothing ever became of it. If she's seriously unresponsive I'd take her in.

Nothing says "don't do this shit again" like a hospital bill for over $300 only to hear that you just need rest.

Also just to echo your previous sentiments about illicit substances, Krynn: Drinking alcohol is cool and fun.

To get alcohol poisoning proper, you have to either drink a whole lot incredibly fast, or keep drinking a lot after you start throwing up. Her vomiting will be her system trying to purge the alcohol - it's unpleasant but kind of helpful. Stay with her, keep her fluids up, keep her mostly conscious, or if she wants to sleep check on her breathing. Make sure she sleeps on her side.

Everything probably seems really intense in the moment, but it sounds like a lot of people are watching her closely and that she'll be fine. Had the same thing happen in a friends group just a little over a month ago back at uni.

Really, i'm just online asking people what to do, and hes in the bathroom telling her what to do and calming her down. Theres only three of us, and all of use are fairly drunk except her, because she really, really is.

You are not helping.

I don't like to be contested :naughty:

All I can picture is two drunk people in the bathroom while their pet dog is secretly going on the internet to give them answers.

After this whole ordeal, I expect CptStern to post a thread: "stoopid cupple thinks dog told them what to do; very drunk".

Alcohol overdose sucks. I blacked out during a New Year's Eve party I had at a buddy of mine's place once and woke up naked on my buddies couch the next morning. Couldn't remember anything. He said I lost a bet and had to streak across the yard naked.

Oh wait...is this an emergency HelpLife2.net thread? Lie her in the prone position and remove all clothing so she doesn't get too hot. :angel:

Well some of the people here I actually trust to give honest answers.

She seems to not be vomiting so much, but my friend says shes still feeling cold despite it being fairly warm in our apartment now (we turned off the ac a while ago now). He also said shes breathing kind of erratically, like she is hyperventilating every so often, then going back to normal. The links i have read for alcohol poisoning say she'd be breathing slowly, which he said isnt really happening.

She probably had like three rum and cokes, and one or two beers after that. But she is a really light drinker, and she was pretty drunk after the first two rum and cokes.

Sounds like she'll be fine after some rest, just take shifts looking after her until morning when everyone is sobering up.

She should be ok then. Just keep her away from alcohol for the remainder of the night.

At least you can spell, Krynn.

Look after her with a video camera.

So you can uhh... show the doctor later.

Or,

Lie her in the prone position and remove all clothing so she doesn't get too hot.
...do this first, then look after her with a video camera, then post it here so us HelpLife2.net doctors can make an appropriate diagnosis.

Considering its one of my best friend's soon-to-be-wife, I think I shan't. Anyways, the situation seems to have been cared for. She will probably feel like total shit tomorrow, but maybe she'll learn her limit. In any case, i'm off to bed. Thanks to you guys who helped.

Your welcome.

if she's even vaguely coherent she doesn't have seriously dangerous alcohol poisoning (which is kind of a strange term since technically any amount of alcohol is alcohol poisoning). sounds like she just got too drunk and has to deal with the consequences (being sick as hell). she's probably better by now but once she's mostly done puking and what not you should just make sure she sleeps on her side and keep an eye on her
