L4D 2 doesn't work anymore WTF!!

I played this game saterday night, but now it closes after the load screen. I defragmented the game files thru steam and it still closes. all the other games work but for no reason l4d2 just won't work wtf?

You said you defragmented, have you also verified the cache files? Go to properties/local files when you right click on the game in steam. It's a long shot, but probably worth checking.

yes I defragmented the cache files. out of frustration I deleted the game and reinstalled it. and it now works fine. don't know why it suddenly stopped working tho.

Usually when a game on steam stops working correctly, verifying the game cache fixes it.
