Here's me trying to play with a super awesome ping thankfully provided by the local university network.

The college I went to had torrent ports blocked and download speed capped kinda low, but it was pretty good for gaming. That, though, is just horrible!

What was your ping there? I've played with a ping of around 300 and i've not actually jumped around like that.

it was hovering around 250

however, that doesn't really tell you anything here since the internet ping spikes constantly (as shown by the net graph)

Yeah, if you stay at one ping, you're fine, but spiking up to a million every second is when it gets bad.

you can't see it in the video but the actual "in" ping reading was going to -3500 occasionally when I was recording that. I think it got so bad that it overflowed the integer that is holding the number

It used to be like that for me, when I had wireless network.
It DC'd constantly too.

another side effect of the horrible internet is that sometimes pages just stop loading half way through and you have to refresh it a ton of times to get the full page.

I have that problem now, but then again, it happens every day or two...stupid ATT..
