Lags with Radeon9800Pro Atlantis

Hi, i have bad lags with the Radeon9800 Pro Atlantis.
I have the newest Ati Driver, my pc/hardware is top. And my conection very fast.. why iam laaging in hl2 ?! iam very frustet .. pltt help

can i see the fps ingame ?

mabye something running the background that takes alot of ram but i dont c how that could be a problem with 1 gig of ram

I noticed a HUGE hit to my performance when I got a Trojan. I scanned and searched and finally had my dad look at it (computer genious) He found the Trojan murdered the SOB, and BAM performance greatly improved

what settings are you running the game on ie what res and what aa/af settings

hl say me i can run the highest settings, but iam laggy with any settings i test it with all. its terrible, bfv. doom everything is running well, only hl is laaging.. i have dsl with fastpath etc all .. only in hl i have problems. inet and lan game.

Yeah my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro lags too. I have the recommended settings too. P4 2.4, 1 gb ram. Idk WHY!? I know for a fact it shouldn't be laggin like it is. I have my drivers up to date.

So you're talking about HL2DM? That's not to do with your graphics card, more to do with high CPU requirements and bad servers.
