Latest update makes TF2 not launch

So, alright. I've done extensive research on this problem. What happens is I start steam, go to launch TF2. It gives me the "Launching TF2" screen, and then it disappears. Nothing starts. HL2.exe doesn't even start.
Now, here's what I've done (according to my research):
Reinstalled video card drivers.
Verified game data
Exception listed it in ALL of my Anti-Viral and Anti-Spyware programs (AVG, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D)
Copied blinkw32.dll into the TF2 folder (from it's bin folder)
Moved Steam and all its installs to a new drive

Nothing has worked thus far.
Any ideas?

Edit: damn my late-at-night responding.

Try contacting Steam Support (they are helpful at times). Also, what machine are you running TF2 on?

try setting steam to run in administrator... that's all I can think of.

Delete blobs.
If not reinstall steam altogether and just redownload the TF2 folder by backing up the .gcf's.

Running in admin.
Machine's custom built, kinda crappy now, was good at the time. It ran it literally the night before the patch without any issue whatsoever.
I'll try a full reinstall.
