Leakey, Texas -- Teen faces punishment for long hair

wow truely the land of the free ..do they hold bayonets at the ready just in case you insist on 4cm?

no they put them into a transport line where machines cut the hair, and the next administer the "vitamins",the next the uniform, the next the weapons, and the last one they are move along a giant screem to see "pictures"

dont forget the anal cavity search just in case their hiding contraband like chocolate or nylons

oh and the dark room when you dont know what happened when you leave but you feel something funny in your head

Hell no. They either make you do pushups or hit you on the behind with an aluminum bat until you feel like getting a haircut. Or, you know, cut it themselves (or leave it to the student moderation/council boys; I've done some hair-cutting of 7th and 8th graders in my lifetime as well)

Some good ol' fashioned discipline, indeed.

I wouldn't expect Bush's home state to offer up that kind of respect -- and why is this matter so trivial? Oh, thats right. Becuz its texahs!

I understand the south part, but why bring up Christians. Where I live, most Christians were long hair. WTF is with his whole relation between to two anyhow. All the knights back in the old days wore long hair.

What's most strange about your stories, numbers, isn't the stories themselves but that you actually seem to support it. Why?

so you stamp the individuality out of the person, give everyone similiar haircuts, clothing so that everyone will look like everyone else ......kinda sounds like communism to me

Meh, I don't support it. Nor do I oppose it. It's a law of sorts, made with good intentions and reasons, so what?

Besides, it really helps to identify the punks.

Well, until you get a bit more mature, you need to be oppressed a bit.

Besides, when they graduate, they can have their freedom. Until then, they must be educated in both personaity and intelligence so they become better resources in the future.

(The real reason for the haircut is because of #1, Lice (This ain't the goddamn 50s ffs!) and #2. Students get ideas when they have long hair and try to mix up with the other sex. Which by set standards, is immoral. Huh. And there was #3, but I forgot.

What ever happened to individuality?

Well, until you get a bit more mature, you need to be oppressed a bit.
Sounds more like something your northern neighbours would say.

"Resources"?

Commie.
