The biggest thing I hate about the eras after the middle ages, is that gunpowder warfare began dominating the style of warfare. Everything started changing, and the old classic way of getting up and personal with your opponents faded. Gunpowder is neat and all, but only as an axillary role as it played in the late parts of the middle ages.

Yeah, because of that, we can't have infantry charge at each other and go at it warhammer 40k style close quarters combat.


Oh no, they go "CHARGE!" and "Requesting ToT" then the artilery goes boomboomboomb and people go argharghahhck *dies*.
