Leet laptop faces frame freeze

Hey, its been a while since I've been on the forums, but I'm back to cs'ing with my new laptop! Its a Dell Inspiron 9300 with the nvidia geforce 6800 go graphics card. Anyway, even with the power of this computer, I'm getting problems in cs:S. There seems to be a problem of the frame freezing for a split second whenever a new sound plays. How can I get rid of this problem? Thanks...

How much ram does it have? That problem happens when you don't have a lot of ram, actually even when I had 512mb I think it did that for me. But with 1gb it's perfect.
