Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Details Arrive

October 27th is when customers who have pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 will be able to play the demo. Today Valve have released details on what the demo will contain:

The Left 4 Dead 2 demo will feature gameplay taken from "The Parish" campaign, set in the New Orleans French Quarter. Playable by 1 to 4 players over local or Internet connections on both the Xbox 360 and PC (with two-player split screen available on the Xbox 360), the demo features all the new boss infected zombies and all the new melee weapons included in the full product.

If you have pre-ordered for PC via Steam or retail you should be playing on the 27th October. Xbox 360 LIVE Gold members AND PC players (who haven't pre-ordered) can play the demo from 3rd November. Lastly, all Xbox 360 LIVE members will have the demo available from 10th November.

l4d has come on sale before, right now it is $30 reg price. With the l4d2 4 pack u can get a copy for $33.75 (each). Sounds like as good a deal as there will be for a while.

Also at 50% is the Left 4 Dead Four Pack for $44.99... ($11.25 per copy) for you and 3 friends.

I'm not 100% but I do believe some people hoped this for L4D1 when it came out, I believe it didn't come on sale then or definitely not as big as you would hope.

Well do as you wish. I know that the best time I had with L4D was release night. Pent up suspense with other friends playing midnight till mid morning, best ever! The greatest time of the game was basically the early days. Having bought other (multiplayer) games later than release I compare the differing experiences as not exactly bad for the later bought one. But you certainly get imprinted memories from something like release day. Back then I even paid closer to full price ($44 with preorder single) but I hadn't considered the 4pack at all. But I'm glad I did this time around.
