Left 4 Dead 2 Multiplayer Demo is Planned

Doug "We're not ready to talk about Episode Three yet" Lombardi told Joystiq today, that Left 4 Dead 2 multiplayer demo is planned and users who pre-order the game (from Steam or participating retailers) will gain "advanced access to the demo", and eventually to all users worldwide.[br]

The multiplayer demo should be released few weeks before the game launch on November 17th.

We didn't have to pre-purchase the first one to get the demo, did we? I may be remembering wrong, but seems like kind of a strange game. Since they've already pissed a lot of people off with the game you'd think at least they'd want to get a demo to people before the game comes out, in the hopes that they might "deconvert" some of the boycotters. Ah well.
