From QuakeCon comes gameplay footage of Left4Dead, presented to us in high-definition available for download from FileShack. The Turtle Rock Studios title is playable on the floor at the QuakeCon event, so anticipate more posts of previews and videos of the game.[br]Download at FileShack [305MB].

Sweet Lord, make it available to us. Now.

ZOMGOMFGDOWNLOADYAY!!!!!1 damn i want this game so much!!

...i also want a new laptop so i can actually play hl2 or any other source games in full settings TnT

Looking wery wery good!

The only thing I don't like is that it seems like you'll never run out of ammunition. In games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil you aren't loaded with heaps of ammo strapped around you, every time you unload a bullet you must make sure it digs itself right through the skull of the zombie/mutant.

I don't know about you guys but I prefer when you're running around trying to survive the hordes of zombies wanting to rib you to pieces with very limited ammo and weapons, it just makes it much more fun in my opinion.

Looking pretty good, except the outdoor sections seem rather bland to me. Players also didn't look to be taking much damage. The only time I saw someone get close to death they were being mobbed by 10+ zombies, and they still came out alright.

Looks to be a great LAN/CoOp game regardless.

Awesome video. Showing more of the wide open street and subway stairs.

It did look that way through part of it although when they are in the streets and the guy being filmed shoots at the boomer his gun quickly switches to a pistol as if he ran out of ammo and no more clips for his SMG. Plus there is a bunch of ammo on the table when they get to the checkpoint so they must have to stock up and it wouldn't be unlimited.

I really like the lighting in general. How parts are lit but there is always a dark corners or alley ways. Bright signs etc. And Infected animations are awesome of course. Didn't show any infected attacking from the roof while they were in the street. Looked like they were going easy on them.

OMFG OMFG!!11! Seriously though, the amount of pure awesomeness of the Orange Box AND THIS!! Oh my sweet jesus! I can't take it all in! The zombie and survivor animations... *DROOLS! You can just point out so many unique moments in that glorious HD video! Orange Box + Left 4 Dead = ETERNAL HAPPINESS!

Gah I get so frustrated when apparently retarded people play games. Looks like good fun though!

they only thing i don't like is the fact i downloaded a 300 meg file, and my pc is so shit that i can't even watch it in real time, it just lags ;(

Wikipedia says the release date is summer 2007; where'd the 08 date come from?

EDIT: Jeez, one of the survivors is called "Bill Calhoun"!

He doesn't look much like Barney, though.

I dunno where the '08 date came from. I just said what they said.
EDIT: Gah, still no flashlight model?

I don't suppose anyone has a smaller version?

More arcadey looking than I expected tbf.

I know what you mean. It's because of the player(s); just look at the fools' tactics. You know, they're not even working as a team or anything. The player wonders into the 'safe house' (love the 'house symbol' spray-painted onto the wall) while his other teammates are fighting off the Infected :| To make matters worse, he begins bandaging himself while the door is still open, and you guessed right; an Infected wonders in. Still though, I don't care about the players themselves, I was just drooling over the: zombie AI, incredible animations, new Source juice (drooling over new effects; fire, dynamic shadows etc), the atmosphere, environment - enthralling I must say. Bring on the Orange Box & Left 4 Dead please!
