Lenin's Mausoleum [WIP]

If the Soviet architecture of HL2 wasn't enough, here I present the Мавзолей В.И.Ленина!

I know the textures are low resolution and shit, but could you people tell me should I continue on this map? I am thinking of better textures and brushwork, like making the Ленин logo with brushbased letters, but what do you think?

Nice use of colors. I suggest you to focus on colors instead of brushwork to make it look more artistic.

Thanks. I hope someone could give me good marble textures that I could use on this one, as mine aren't so good as I already stated.

Hmm you might change some blocks of their height cause i was looking on the top and front view of the building and well,.. this building gives me the idea that some guy figured out how to make some blocks and place them above eachother.. (sorry to say) try to get it more like this:

like the top block isn't that tall
change it and you'll see your map looks better

Textures.. well texture packs are pretty handy for use.
But i wont provide you these textures cause most of ehm are together on cd's and cost alot..
You might find some if your good looking

Why does Lenin's Mausoleum have that first character anyways? Isn't it supposed to be in Cyrillic? That letter is foreign to me in the Russian alphabet, and is certainly not the Cyrillic letter representing the L sound. Л is what should be used if I'm not mistaken.

Though yours is correct since the real one is like that, it just puzzles me.

That "L used in Lenin's Mausoleum" is like, somehow emphasazing his name there. I dunno but I've seen it being used in some other places too.

I think that's just how Л is typed sometimes. I've seen it in a few signs and stuff and it can't mean anything else

Bizarre. Guess I just haven't gotten far enough in my Russian studies to know that.

Heh, I don't even speak Russian I just learned the alphabet to understand stuff from S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and a few sentences of Russian so that I had a little clue what they were talking about in the game. As it seems the bandits do nothing put shout some swear words like "suck your mother" and something, but there are some interesting things too.

The mausoleum is about completed, but no pics yet :/ It has much better textures than the first ones, and now I am starting to build the museum which is also in the Red Square.

The large grass areas will be replaced with the full necropolis place, and then I dunno what I do.
