Who do you think is the more brilliant mind?

DaVinci had his paintings and inventions while Newton was one of the most brilliant physicists of all time.

BTW, I choose DaVinci just because all those machines he designed, but never built look so damn awesome.

(currently been watching TLC's new doing DaVinci series)

Go.

If there had been a book called the Newton Code, I'd have voted for DaVinci. As it is, Newton gets my vote. Inventing modern physics? That's just too cool.

Leonardo DaVinci did rock out to Queen's "I Was Born To Love You", so he's certainly got that going for him...

lol DaVinci is a pretentious asshole like all "great artists". Isaac Newman invented gravity...

I think based on influence they had on the modern world Newton wins.

There is no such thing as gravity. It's God pushing everything down.

I hate you.

obviously the artist guy, cuz the science guy is lame. who needs science anyways?. A whole freakin era was named after Davinci can that egghead newton claim that? then there's the helicopter, cannons, tanks and all sorts of cool weapons? what the hell did newton do besides have an apple fall on his head? also there's no teenage mutant ninja turtle named Issac, therefore Leonardo is the better man

"Newton discovered gravity when he was sitting under an apple tree one day, and one dropped off and landed on his head, this got him thinking about forces..."

"Why wasn't he at work?"

IMO, Newton out of these two. Charles Darwin for me, has been more influential for many reasons I think are very admirable (including his wife being a devout Christian). Some love for Watson & Crick too!

Newton, for his work on calculus alone. Throw in optics and gravitation and it's an easy choice.

Did DaVinci invent modern physics? I didn't think so, Newton gets my vote.

I don't think Newton 'invented' modern physics. I'm sure that he himself said that he was simply building on those who came before him.

Where as DaVinci liked to get naked.

Physics didn't exist before Newton. Everything prior to his arrival beneath that tree was all an elaborately grand demonstration of keyframe animation!

ya, if you're a pointy headed poindexter uber geek who gets beaten up by his sister then yes!!!

math FAG!!!

I gave Newton my vote because of his breakthroughs with physics, gravity, calculus, etc.

Da Vinci was a great painter, but he was pretty slapdash when it came to the preparation side of things that's why the Last Supper is peeling off the wall whilst Michelangelos Sistine Chapel is still holding up strong.

So I'll go with Newton.

Newton invented calculus which gave me hell in highschool.

Da Vinci was an awesome concept artist and drawing is actually fun, so he wins.

How the **** is Newton winning, you guys are a bunch of dildos.

Worst reason ever to pick Newton! "Sorry Leonardo, you didn't prime the wall properly with eggshell...I don't care how good your artistic license is, that's an amateur mistake, get out my sight"

I've just realised that I was actually thinking of Michelangelo this whole time.
Now I don't know who to choose!

If not for Newton, we'd all be floating away into space and DYING!
