Let Me Skin Your Gun

I have experience skinning models but not weapons and would love to give it a try.

I have been looking for a nice weapon to skin for some time.
I am sick of offering my help to mods and being rejected because i have no experience with weapons.

I can not make the uv map so someone will have to do this for me.
I dont want cash but would like someone to mod the gun into HL2 so i can play with it (just replace another weapon model).

Should i reskin one of the HL or CS weapons to show i have skill or what, i want to get into this stuff so i can start doing it for mods?

I'm posting here first to see if anyone has a model I can skin for them.

Obviously I can re-skin old models but I hate to waste time.

And if I was to re-skin and post here all I would get is spam saying the original skin is better.

Anyone I can skin for (i'm in no rush, if you will need a skinner in a few weeks i'm your man)?

I got an MP5 that is mapped too, all it needs is a good skin. if you would like to skin it you are more than welcome.

I got a bit excited because i'm holidays for the next week and not at my own pc at the moment so it's a bit hard to get started.

I'll prob start another thread when i get home, but thanks for your reply there seems to be a few people that will give me a go.
