It's not called (or deemed) an expansion anymore...

*Hugs Rupertvdb for being so gramatically anal*Rupertvdb said:No offence, because I do love the news, the deliverer, and Halflife2.net, but there is some pretty appalling grammar gracing the front page. I like my news all professional. Sorry to be a little bitch about it

What about..kupoartist said:So I was perhaps right about the significance of Kliener and Lamarr finding Gordon after the credits had rolled?

If you download the Source SDK the combine slug things (the overlords?) can be viewed in detail using the model viewer. It's obviously the model they used for the monitor glimpse shot your talking about. Weird looking doods for sure! You see one of them on some monitors if you chase after Breen before he gets in the reactor.Originally Posted by polyguns

Jury is out on weather to buy or just read the story from wikipedia. If theres enough in it (story and technology wise) then i'll look into it.

I'm sorry but only an "idiot" could have posted spoilers of Episode 1 (which hasn't come out yet!!!) without even warning the readers that their news is full of spoilers.
idiots!
I'm definelty not coming back to this site anytime soon.

Anyway. Hopefully we will know the name of the slugs creatures, They aren't the combine, The combine, are the synths and the overwatch. The slug creatures and w/e else there are, they control the combine which is whatever creatures and races they managed to turn into there Army
Xhawk>>GT<< said:I'm pretty sure the Run-for-your-life sequence in the citidel will be all scripted stuff, but I'd like it to be a Metroid-timed-escape-from-Brinstar type of escape sequence, that'd be sweet.
I really can't wait for this to come out.
Could the 3rd power be race X from Op4?
Sulkdodds said:I don't think it's necessary. For one thing, INCREDIBLE REVELATIONS is already bolded which kind of gives it away. Secondly, you'd only miss the spoiler warning if you were skipping forward in a rush to get to the info, and you shouldn't be in a rush if you're so worried about spoilers. Thirdly, the info's not even that spoileriffic.
Feath said:1) Incredible Revelations could mean anything.
2) Some people skim read. Which is why it would be lovely if you drew attention to spoilers. Someone only needs one spoiler to affect the game. And if he's just reading the front page, it could be annoying if he read something he didn't want to read.
I'm not totally bothered about spoilers of this type, but some people may be.
Yeah, that fits in with that G-Man quote from the teaser trailer when he's like 'We'll see... about THAT.' He's probably pissed that Gordon got free when if wasn't supposed to be free. Though I can see the G-Man, after you crush the Combine dominion, saying something like 'That was my whole plan from the beginning Gordon lol.' Oh, you so kerazy, G-Man.ríomhaire said:I just realised that the g-man loosing control thing fits perfectly with my theory that he is desperate/worried/afraid! (I came up with it ages ago)
"Episode 1 will mark the rise of a third power in the HL2 universe - one that'll have a large impact on Gordon’s future." Evidence apparently suggests the true Combine - those yet to come to Earth. Whether this means gigantic lazy slugs floating hilariously above City-17 or crazy synth creatures is as yet unclear.
