Well, well ,well. We have come to this. Three games, one for each system (Not including Nitendo), will be making an appearence roughly within two weeks of each other.

1) Halo 2- November 11
2) Halflife 2- November 16
3) Killzone- November 19

Um, this will be an interesting next month.

To be personally honest, Halo and HL will both be the fastest sellers, as we have all either played one or the other (or both) and we know what the content of the sequels will be. Killzone will appeal though, to people who do not have a PC, or an XBOX.

Halo 2 will sell the most, but Half-Life 2 will be the best.

I concur. In the first month, people will spend there hard earned cash on Halo2, because its the first one to be released. Then Half-Life 2 comes along, and everybody will have to wait another month because they used up all there money before then (Buying Halo 2, buying christmas gifts, spending, going don the  )

just like tinneth said :)

im gonna buy Halo 2 and HL2, but i played the killzone demo and its nothing special..... if it was released on the PC it would probally be average, its just its the only PS2 FPS that isnt either cartoony or shit.

Halo 2 because console systems simply have a much larger fan base and there seems to be many rabid Halo fans out there. Half-life 2 will be the best of them all though.

yep yep.

although i expect HL2 will be a slow burner. most casual gamers probably won't get the game till christmas or even later. and if the mod scene is still active, and if valve end up releasing new content (TF2), we might see consistently high sales for a year or more.

with Halo 2, you're buying a game. HL2, you're buying a game, and it's also a piece of software that gives you access to a whole world of mods and online options. different packages aimed at different audiences.

i know feck all about killzone so i can't say much about that.

Its hardly a war , as all three are sold on mutually exclusive formats.

This is a two horse race - Killzone has no chance.

Not saying it's a bad game - but recent previews haven't been encouraging, the frame rate is choppy and everyone I know whose played the demo say it's average at best.

The contest, imo, is the super immersive experience HL2 will offer vs the pure fun of Halo 2 co-op.

I agree, Killzone probably shouldn't even be included in the poll. A better use would have been Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS2, or Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube. Although neither of them are shooters, they'll sell more copies than Killzone any day.

Definately. More people are familiar with the Metal Gear Solid series and the Resident Evil games than Killzone. Therefore it would make sense that they would be more popular and would sell more copies.

Heheh we're talking like one game is going to blow out the other. I think that no matter which game sells the most copies, HL2, Halo 2, GTA:SA, GT4, MGS3, or RE4, the margin between them is going to be miniscual. Maybe a few thousand units? If that? The bottome line is, there are going to be some very happy publishers/developers come this Christmas. Their wallets will grow exponentially wider as we get closer and closer to the holiday buying rush.

I would like hl2 to sell more but Halo 2 has a younger bigger fan base. therefore it will sell more.

You should have included Metroid Prime2

I'm buying both HL2 and Halo2.
