You should definatly get another that would be soo cool with games.
Alan... Get your old name back. I hate that one.

I got a 32" LCD, 17" LCD, and a 15" LCD. I mainly use the 17". I just recieved a 15" LCD TV for Christmas, and I am sure I will use that as dual monitors once in a while. The 32" is just for shits and giggles. Its fun as hell to play on it though. I love it a lot.

I actually prefer my curved crt to my Trinitron. Dunno what it is, but it just seems clearer.
Course I like holding my laptop right next to my face.

It's like having a big screen.

Pictures wouldn't really be worth looking at so I'll forgo that right for now.

OK, look, people need to learn this. As bulky and uncool as they are, CRT > LCDs. Faster response time (no ghosting!), higher pixel density, better picture, more sharp... except for their size, they are far better. Now, OLEDs, and all that stuff... I'm betting those will take the cake. But until then, my 19" Flatscreen Dell Trinitron will get all my love.

Also, Shamrock is right, please go back to your old name or make a new one. Your current one sucks.

Your prob right but im my case i feel that my lcd is way better clearer image and alot brighter great for games and mine has a 10 ms response time so i see no ghosts. its different for everone i guess. I think i have to keep this name too , ohh well.

Ghosting is not real. Seriously, I have played on many LCDs in my time, and I have never viewed even one time "ghosting." It is seriously fake. From the worst LCD to the best I've played on, none of them had "ghosting" at all. I play on one with a 25 ms response time, and it runs flawlessly. I played on one with a higher response time, very high (Can't remember how high), but there was no ghosting. It is fake. :)

Alan, contact Asus or Crushenator 5000 or ComradeBadger, I am sure they can help. I am sick of your stupid, terrible name. I miss the Alan Freeman with the BF2 avatar.

I'm not %100 sure on what ghosting is...isn't it when the picture on the screen sort of gets chopped in half, and you see the horizontal split line move up the screen? Half the image seems to lag behind for a second?

If thats what ghosting is, well I've seen it on my friends CRT many times, but never on my LCD...

if you honestly believe crt's are better than lcd then die in a fire.

My LCD is a 6 ms response time, so I have never seen a problem mentioned. It has everything my CRT has and it is light.

My monitor has a 8MS response time but you can still notice a tiny bit of ghosting switch directly from a CRT. But now, of course, I couldn't tell if there was ghosting or not. Asus, mine is a BenQ FP91G+. Awesome monitor. $250 w/ MIR on Newegg. Sechs.

Btw, this is my second monitor.

Holy crap!!!! that thing is $ 1100.00 dollars

Whats special about its crt am i missing somthing here.

What's special is that it's one of very few monitors (or even HDTVs for that matter) that displays up to 2048 x1536, and at a respectable 75 hertz too. It does so via regular VGA cables, or in my instance, a high definition RGB cable.

2048x1536 makes 1024x768 look like Super Nintendo..... Photorealistic graphics are here NOW.. if you have the monitor for it..

I can't play ALL of the newest games in that high a resolution.... but I do for most games.... like HL2, Far Cry, Warcraft, Battlefield 2.

Doom 3 & Quake 4 maxes at 1600x1200 ... FEAR maxes at 2048x1536 but an X800 XL can't handle that...

Sooner or later, LCDs will catch up.... but for now, CRTs remain king...

I thought that's what happens when your framerate goes above your refresh rate :P

Awww, I thought this said, "Let's See Your Mother!"

I am so disappointed.
