What is the best level in hl2?

So far I like water hazard.

So far I like the one when I quit out of Half Life 2 and went into these forums where I then Posted My favorite level. But now that was about a week ago....

I also like Water Hazard. Nova Prospekt. Sandtraps. AntiCitizen. Dark Energy.

My favorite level overall is Nova Prospekt but some individual maps I LOVE are:

d1_town_05: The railtracks where you first see snipers, right before you get the buggy.
d3_c17_08: Right after Alyx gets captured and there's a big tall room where elites drop from the ceiling.
d1_canals_08: Where Breen gives you the title "The One Free Man."

yeah i loved that part,i though they coulda done something more after you come outa of the tunnel,you know,coz you've been in ravenholm for so long,you walk towards the light and theres only a train infront of you,woulda liked to see alyx or sumit :upstare:

i also love the bit where you ditch the buggy at the lighthouse and the dropships swoop down,love that music

1) Route Kanal. Excellent chapter, all of it is great

2) The part on Sand Traps where you get rid of the buggy. I hated driving the buggy and was glad when I could finally get rid of it, and the lighthouse battle itself was good

3) The story telling chapters (e.g. Black Mesa East, Point Insertion). However, they have almost no replayability.
