Lever bridge in Urban Flight (need help)

Okay, so I'm playing this on the 360 version of the Orange Box...

Anyways I've just gotten the crowbar on Urban Flight, and have gotten to the lever bridge where you destroy the plank to release the gear that drops the bridge down, only it doesn't drop the bridge. The gear spins around each time though, and the plank breaks, but the bridge stands upright. I've tried re-loading saves, etc, but with no luck...

Any suggestions/fixes/something to help on this? Really annoyed as I can't get any further...

the bridge is meant to drop when you break that plank in the gear, mine doesn't... Game stopping bug...

With the gravitty gun you have to take out the wood or with the crowbar

I have done that, my problem is a bug, wherin after doing that the bridge stays up...

Type noclip in the console if you have it and then go over the other side, i haven't played EP1 from a half a year if you say the map?

also: I played it now, and you don't have to do anything more than breaking the plank.

Hmm, sounds like your game has got itself in a tiz. Can you restart from an earlier point and retry? (Just noticed you've mentioned trying earlier saves.)

Other than that, no idea, sadly.
