I don't recommend anyone read this.

Wake up. Take shower. Eat Rice Krispies. Pack up backpack, remember then that I forgot to do spanish homework. Hate spaniards. Get ride to school, attempt not to make conversation. Hang out outside first period class -- chemistry -- until school starts.
Now I have to listen to a boring lecture about how bored we are from the teacher, got no one to talk to sitting near me, remain half-asleep through the class.
Go to second period, english, with our stupid teacher who doesn't know how to make a proper quiz, and tries to teach us new england history instead of english... After putting on a fake smile I go to precalculus, and nod along with that class, make stupid mistakes on the tests, etc. Go to history, the only half-interesting class I have, which I have an F in because I haven't turned in half my work. Could have done it over this weeklong break we had but instead I played a lot of CS:S and ignored all the stupid work we have to do which isn't going to help me become a better chef nor is it going to help me map/code/model/whateveritisIneedtodo better.
Play hackysack at lunch with the same people I've been playing hackysack at lunch with for the past two years.
Spanish: meh. missing work, but its makeupable...
Art: oh, thats a LOT of fun. yeah. The only real "general" class I have, where being the only tall white guy makes you a target for being annoyed.

Go home, sit at the computer a few hours thinking whether I should start homework or not, eventually start it and finish trig and chem, bypassing spanish and history and english. I might do history if time allows on the monday before its all due.

Every single day, the same boring thing. All I do now is stress over how much work I have and sit at home alone. I just wanna become a baker and go to japan where everything is uber dramatic and anime and people taste a pastry and suddenly turn into giant rockets and destroy the moon or whatever.

yeah.

I'm done now.

LOL atleast you have school..i have nothing...my weekday entertainment is to take long walks and wait for my buddys to come home from school\work... :(

I know what you mean.

In pushing myself to do great this year, I've taken a lot of the fun out of my life. In previous years, I've just sat back and slacked off, and simply churned out good exam results. I played or did whatever I liked,f for however long I wanted, without feeling any guilt.

Now I can't do that, and spending all night playing HL2 means I'll have to lock myself away in the library next lunch to catch up on the stuff I missed.

Go do something about it then
yeah, I should, but what do you suggest? I'm trapped in the confines of still being a minor :P I can't do anything rash or exciting :(

so what I 'did' about it I guess was vent here. bad sheepy?

You should come to Mexico then... all kids do hear is go out and drink, not much things to do...
Since is boring, I go boxing, is quite fun, takes off your mind of stuff.

I'm too close to mexico by being in california methinks, I'll stay away...

I used to think like you (sorta but not really) and thought school was boring.

Then I got a job and let me tell you what my parents kept telling me but I never listened: school is much better than work. Even if it's boring it's easy as hell so you should at least try to like it a bit before you have to work with assholes _everyday_.

don't want that either, and with how much crap they are loading on me in school I don't think its easy.

anyway, thats the kind of life that depresses me, living weekend to weekend in some crappy job you hate. I'd rather die, ugh.

It's the same story for millions of kids. You have to simply get your priorities right and look at the bigger picture. You're as lucky as most others, if not luckier in some aspects.

Times like these, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself (no matter how bad things get) and be strong and just push forward. A positive outlook makes for a much easier time.

heh you guys have absolutely nothing to complain about. You have no real responsibilities, no real pressures. School is nothing compared to watching a parent deterioate in front of you or getting up at 3 am because your baby is crying and wont go back to sleep till 6am even though you have to get up for work at 7am, or wondering if you'll be able to make the mortgage this month because you had unexpected repair bills

I had 1 1/2 hours of sleep last night, my aunt is getting worse, and so is my dad, there's a draft coming in from the basement that has to be repaired that will cost me thousands of dollars, I have to make sure I'll have enough this month to put into my sons education fund, I have to run out now and get more formula, I cant remember the last time I had a beer at a bar, my wife is at work today even though she had as much sleep as I did: responsibilites ..there's no hiding from them

enjoy this time of freedom now, because later on responsibility gets in the way of everything else. Sure much of it is worth it but it sure does take some getting used to.

You've got real problems. Real problems that need to be resolved. You are lacking in school, and are upset over it. Believe me, school isn't stupid, and neither is the work that should be done. Try to excel in all of your classes.
If you think you've got it bad, then just wait until you get into the "real world". :p
Compared to others, you've got it easy. But you're major issue is that you are L-A-Z-Y.

Life doesn't have to be boring. Make the best out of it and enjoy it to the fullest. ;)

I want to be a baker with you, but I lack the Solar Hands.
or the ability to change into a rocket.
or more than a basic knowledge of the Japanese language.
or bakery skills.

Damnit, I want to bake.

Wow I thought I had it bad. Try going on a computer fast. Avoid the usage of your computer as much as you can, if your bored go to a room where your computer isnt and think hmm what shall I do now and you will find an alternative to using the computer I guarentee

Yep, there're no two ways about it, you're going to get bored now and again. I suggest reading a book and/or searching the internet for something that'll keep your mind occupied like Quantum mechanics, but if you find either of those two things boring, then well!

When you are leaving school take a gap year, i cannot emphasise this enough, not enough americans do this and they really should. That'll perk you up

 Avoid computer and avoid videogames, not entirely if it means that much to you. Try to socialize a lot more, go out and do some stupid shit, join a sport, go get laid.

heres my life

wake up at 6, wake up being used loosely cos i don't really sleep much. get ready. get the same bus i've been getting for the last 7-ish years. see the same sites pass the window. catch another bus i've been catching for 3/4 years. same balls yet again. arrive in a town i cannot stand really early. hang about outside my college building with a cup of hot chocolate for half an hour. some prick on my course turns up who i don't really like but talk to out of politeness. boredom for 2 hours. pub. boredom for 2 more hours-sh. bus home. telly. computer. bed.

repeat pattern

Easier said than done mate, except for maybe the stupid shit, but if you're generally an intelligent person even stupid shit is hard to do intentionally!

FACT: routines are boring, try and snap out of them and do something different. Yes I am not one to talk but someone has to say it

Here's an idea.

Become a professional assassin, taking out drug kingpins and evil dictators. Use a multitude of weapons to complete your missions, all in a fully realized 3D world where your actions affect everything from physics to framerates.

Or become a baker. Whatever.

I was thinking about doing this. Mainly because I'll be a mere 17 when I finish school..

I know exactly what you all mean - but I have friends and Half-Life 2, so it's fine.

Plus I plan to take a road trip and see the country when I graduate high school before college.

I'm never going to take any advice you dish out to me, I don't enjoy doing stupid things, was in a sport last year and that was rowing, and I don't think high school kids should be having sex :P

I like computer. videogames ar emy antidrug.

nw: we shall become bakers together!

joule: yeah, I'm lazy, but I can't honestly change that and be happy, I need to find something I like and motivation and such :P
all this work in school, most of it is useless. I appreciate knowing a bunch of crap, I'm generally the guy with all the answers to random questions but its not helping my future career-wise :P

I need my license.

I can't stop procrastinating.

I've got chemistry stuff I have to do even right now that I should've already started on.. but I won't. It sucks.

And I have a vicious week of exams ahead of me. Where am I? Studying? Nope, I'm sending a message to someone I don't know.

COOL HUH :x

:naughty: As you shouldn't, IMO getting advice from complete strangers online for some personal problems is pathetic. I really do mean to socialize more, staying on PC and playing videogames all day is your anti-drug, but it seems like a drug in itself that's tearing you apart. Playing CS:S rather than doing homework ;) .

Life is boring for me as well.

I life the same routine everyday, wake up do my projects, play cs or any other game, watch movie, then do projects, then go sleep. (thats my weekend)

normal days, go uni do works, stay up to 10pm come back home eat then sleep.

I mean wtf, ;(

My life is pretty boring too.

Last night, I was just watching some movies when a mysterious girl crashed through the window and told me that I was in danger. Sure enough, men in dark suits stormed the entire building, so I had to kill them all, except for their leader who had a constipated grimace and sunglasses. We ran across rooftops until we got away. I learned that I was nothing more than a pawn in an international game of espionage and murder. I had descended into a mystery, where each gunshot was just another question mark.

But I probably shouldn't bore you with any more details.

Jesus, sheep, you're so goddamn emotional!

I feel like I just read a snippet of Trent Reznor's diary.

Yeah, I went to a black majority school with a lot of latinos, too. It's weird being one of the few white guys, yet strangely enjoying at the same time (I'm blonde, blue-eyed and about 6'1, black and latino girls seem to have a 'thing' for white boys); nonetheless it was hell, yes. The school was a typical ghetto ass school. I have no fond memories of high school at all.

interesting cause I don't listen to NiN :o

yeah, most of my classes are pretty okay(bunch of russians in fact :D), but art isn't AP or anything so it ends up with a bunch of morons in there just to get their art credit(I am of course there to get my art credit but not a moron ;))
I basically try to stay far away from everyone :|

Here is my average life thing

Wake up - have breakfast - listen to naggy sister - get late to school because of whining nagging sister.

Arrive - go to promote - listen to words of wisdom from made up people - go to class - rebels in the back of the class throw bananas at fans

Go to 1st break - go to lesson again - go to the other lesson - go to last break - go to final class - rebels attempt to steal assgnments after forgetting thiers - go home - listen to whining sister - post here - go to bed

and reapeat

Life is good...

Sorry :( But its true, and thats because I don't look forward to "firday night". I enjoy the time of course, but I have long term goals that I'm aiming for. They say the journey is the best part, and I think that is largely true because even though I have my fair share of troubles (as do we all. Each man has his burden, and we shouldn't forget that when we gut hung up on our own problems) I still deeps down enjoy life, and have a sense of happiness inside of me. In many ways I think I'm the opposite to many people who superficially are living life to the full, but inside feel empty somehow...as if their life is meaningless because they have no direction other than the weekend, and possibly "The career".

CptStern, I know your life must seem tough, but I don't think you should trivialise peoples problems so easily. You don't really know how they are feeling about something, and something that seems easy to you might be difficult for them to handle. Having said that, you're right in that we should enjoy this time for what it is...but then, we should treasure every moment for what it is.

Life is like Morrowind, your really excited when you start out, you do all the cool things early on, then the rest of the time all you seem to be doing is repeating the same old thing and walking around a lot working for other people

/me presses the Ctrl+Alt+Del of life and goes off to play something else

P.S. The AI in this life sucks, people keep making the same mistakes and never do what they're told :p
