Does your punishment in said place vary, or is it the same depending on where you go?
Does a murdering paedophile (someone most humans consider to be pure evil) get the same punishment as a theif who has gone to hell?

Wouldn't it suck then, if you were nearlly in heaven and then just before you die you do something wrong like have an evil thought about the nurse and just tip the balance and go to hell?
I'd like to know what the bible says of this.

The Bible says

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I doesn't say you have to do good works, it just says you have to believe that Jesus came down to earth and died to save us from perishing.

So it doesn't depend on your deeds, it's your belief. When Jesus was crucified, there was a thief next to him on the cross who repented and believed, and he was sent to heaven.
