hi again why is thread closed cus you think i didn't buy hl2??

well i did buy it gold edition

but i'm stuck at black mesa east the lift wont go down

if some new patch for hl2 would be made by valve where could i download it??

Maybe he hasn't recieved his goodies yet. It takes a few weeks to get it.

You obviously got the warez version since the gold version isn't available through retail stores. Therefore, no help.

People who have the same prob that he is having have the warez version. Also you don't get post cards and stickers with collector's edition.

Yes, but he also called it City 12 and I'm pretty sure you couldn't mess that up if you had the postcard and all the other stuff. Harryz is probably right.

Half Life 2 - Elevator Bug Error Fix

Symptom: In Half Life 2, when you reach the fifth chapter (Black Mesa East) you get stuck trying to go down the elevator, the character: Dr.Mossman doesn't get in the elevator and just stands there.

Cause: Contrary to what most people have been thinking, the bug is not caused because you have an illegal version of the copy of Half Life 2. Many users who have bought the original game disc are facing the exact same problem. The problem is most likely caused by a glitch, which doesn't execute the proper AI Scripting for the character, thus causing nothing to happen.

Solution: The solution to this problem isn't quite complicated as one may think. To fix the problem, walk into the elevator and press the F6 and F9 Keys one after the other. If it doesn't work try moving to various locations inside the elevator and then pressing the keys. Remember, first press the F6 and then press the F9 Key. Keep doing this until the problem is fixed. I have tried this solution on various copies and various systems and they all fix the problem just fine! Happy Gaming!

Also, he didn't buy it from the obvious mistakes he made. Also I've seen many mods/members say that glitch only occurs if you got warez version.

And it should also come with everything.
