I am currently working on a DM map. I have almost finished, but I don't understand lighting. Could some explain/give link to tutorial?

With your entity tool (which is on the left and looks like a chess piece)already selected, you select "light" from the drop down menu on the lower right-hand side of the screen. Place a "light" entity in your map by clicking in any of the views. Make sure you don't put the light exactly where you want the light to come from, but slightly away from the area that's casting it. That's for lightbulb type lights, for outdoor sun type lighting use the env_light entity. With the entity selected you can hit Alt+Enter to bring up the properties and change the settings (Brightness, Color, etc.) Hope that helps you, and good luck in your mapping. :)
