Lights.rad error

Hello, well im fairly new to this editing stuff...But i cant seem to compile my map. It gives me some error such as the follow...

Valve Software - vrad.exe (Dec 15 2004)
----- Radiosity Simulator ----
1 threads
Could not find lights.rad in lights.rad.
Trying VRAD BIN directory instead...

Anyone have/had this problem? If so can you help me. Thanks in advance.

i had this problem and solved it by copying the lights.rad file from my half-life2/hl2 folder to the sourcesdk/bin folder

not sure if it was the best way but it worked for me

Well thanks for repling, but i cant even seem to find the lights.rad in my half-life2/hl2 folder...Even when i do a search on my computer, I still dont find anything. Did you have to create the file at all? I didnt have this problem before they made the "mymod" creation update.

yes it seems to be somthing thats popped out of the blue

here's mine, might work you never know, other wise i'd recommend the standard fix of "redownloading the sdk" *groan*

(rename to lights.rad)

much obliged, my mouse button was over the 'delete local game content' button when i stumbled upon this thread
