Lightwave LE

[Death.Trap]

Anyone know what this is? My first thought is Lightwave Learning Edition, but I've been on the lightwave site tons of times and never seen anything about it. Someone mentioned it in a cgtalk.com forum. My impression was that it is a free learning edition of lightwave. If I'm right, I have been touched by God. If I'm wrong, I'll just crawl back into the shadows...


Anyone know?

I dunno but i've got Lightwave and i've gotta say its the best modelling program around. If it turns out to be a learning edition, you MUST get it. Its so much better then 3d Studio Max

Wow, that makes me want a few thousand dollars to blow. *picks up web, turns upside down in futile search for free version of lightwave 3d*

I've only played with lightwave for 5 mins,, I dont have regular access to it,,,

relic was one of the bigger game development companies using lightwave but they just changed to 3dsmax a few weeks ago,, have no idea why,,


one thing I've noticed is that in all the euro 3d magazines I read there's a ton of exposure for lightwave (and cinema4D) but next to none in any north american periodical... weird huh?
