Hi everyone ,
Well i start with saying something about our mod.

Our mod will be a teambased game, the game contains Robbers, Terrorists, Police and FBI. The game will get a nervse break game.

Some example´s:
The robbers starting with buying stuff to rob out a Bank, after 3 minutes (or if they all finished) they bought stuff and looked at a map where they all could leave they start storming a bank. It must get fast, if a alarm gets triggered, or the police (other team) see them out the car, they have to find a other way out the bank, if they are to slow, the doors and windows and all such things have to been baricaded / closed. The Robbers could make demands to get out the bank. But it isnt as easy like it sounds, if the Robbers kill to much hostage´s both team will lose, but the more hostages get killed the smaller the police / fbi get payed.

That was a small example how it could came, im to lazy to say more examples but on www.limitless.info.ms is the full concept (isn´t finished yet).

I'm afraid the idea is far from original, a number of mods, one just advertised for help recently, are doing very similar idea's

It's also a bit too CSish with the hostage part of it

The general idea is ok, but I just think its been done too many times to be interesting enough to hold onto the gamers.

I'd probably suggest going back to the drawing board and trying something different, sorry.

@Fenric, it wouldnt get like cs, i hate cs. And how should handle to rob out a bank without hostages ?, You need something , that would safe you against the police, if you wouldnt got hostages, the police would storm the bank and shot everyone down.

@ComradeBadger?? I already shorted it down, if there isnt a maximum length, what the admin could set i wont change my sig anymore. Dont see everything with a piece of salt ^^..

Yes but it looks like we could get problems with the creators of Vampire: Bloodlines, and the idea about a robbery game is nice too and would save trouble. :)

They don't own any rights to vampires, if you want to do a vampire mod do a vampire mod (but for the love of god don't **** with it like people are with 'fast' bleedin zombies grrrr :( )

As already said, the maximum signature length allowed is 4 lines. Please shorten it according to the rules.
 
lets just ban sigs and let everyone know it was Privfusions fault because he wouldn't play by the rules.

And i dont think to make Vampires, if Vampire: Bloodlines get bad i could resume the project but now i concentrate on Limitless. ;)

and you should still do a vampire mod if the idea was any good (I don't remember it from before) Troika don't own any rights to vampires, and unless you copy their actual idea's they can't do anything, and if they did it would simply make them look scared of your mod. So I can't see that happening, them being a proper studio and you not. Besides a bit of healthy competition, even from mods never hurt anyone, well apart from Stalker but they don't even know what their doing, some hl, doom, farcry mix by the looks of things heh.
 
I thought some days about it, and i thought, if Vampire: bloodlines doesnt get a big achievement i create vampires.
Ive got a nice concept to VampireS, if the time will come that i will resume the project, i´ve got a nice start into it ;).

I think Limitless get's also cool with the nice HL² graphic and physic engine.

I'd hate to futher annoy you, but that's 5 lines. The blank line at the top still counts I'm afraid. As much as I like Pulp Fiction, it's going to have to shift up one line :p
 
i thinking you doesnt like that there is so much text on the small lines, so you saying they are 5 lines. ^^.. Why allbody care of this little text. God damnit .. :angel:

No, look at it - you've missed a line, then added the quote. That's a total of 5 lines. Just move the quote up to the top line, and you'll be fine.
 
No offense privFUSION but you seem to be doing something I think you know nothing about. You seem like the person that has just heard about modding games and seems to think they can make anything they like and its really easy. I would strongly look into what your actually doing and proberly get some skills before joining a mod team, definatly not start your own.

Do you even have any skills in modding at all?
 
well i know enough about modding Games, i was the leader of the mod Stunts bf1942 and i made mod for HL (box moving), but it werent released, it were to much work to do.

I know whats possible and whats not. I know about the modding scene of HL.

moving boxes was too much work? This mod isn't gonna happen then if simple box moving is too much for you :(
 
the name doesnt contain what the mod should be. And there was more reasons to stop the mod.

Why thinking everyone i´m not able to create the mod.

I´m able to create this mod and i release this mod, i know how it works.
Stop asking me or be the opinion that i werent able to create this mod!

25% in this thread is talking about i maybe werent able to create this and 50% is talking about my sig. Omg

yeah but your site is pretty much empty. I'm sure I've mentioned this about starting up mod sites when there's nothing to show, it just makes the mod look bad. There's so many things wrong with setting up a site without having much atall done on the mod that I'll probably reserve that rant for an article

The problem as I see it, you say you can do this and do that, but you can't prove it. Which is why people don't believe you.

As for the sig, people are on about that cause its against the rules to have it more than four lines long, others stick to four or less, why should you be any different.

If you want people to believe you can make this mod, prove it to us. Then we'll believe you. Until then its a case of incapable until proven otherwise, that goes for everyone and anyone, including ourselves.
 
Without members its hard to make the page full of details, i dont know what i should say that you guys believe me. I cant say more then anybody else, the only thing that i can say, is that i will create this mod and that i release the mod. Ive got a nice concept, with many ideas, not every mod creator gots any concept. And you cant believe me more then anybody else starting with a concept, and one member.

well in that case I wouldn't have opened a site atall. I'd have got in touch with a concept artist and discussed it with them, get something together and build up from the bottom.. a site is useless with no content. Mod teams should worry about creating a mod not an empty site.
 
so empty isnt the site, sure there isnt no media but the concept gets longer and longer. We didnt got any arts of any stuff but that will change in the next time i think.
 
tbh, sorry to be an ass hole. But you have no clue what your doing and your concept seems boring and crap. Thats just my opinion. But I had to put it straight. You still havn't told me exactly what you do? are you a modelling skinner coder? atm you just seem like someone who came up with an idea overnight will make a concept for about 3 weeks then give up. Yes you say "is that i will create this mod and that i release the mod" but tbh I dought this very much. I am a pritty good modeller and have been thinking about starting a mod for quiet a bit. Before I had any skills I did exactly what your doing which is quiet embarassing. But anyway... I am quiet good at modelling and even I have been working on a concept for 1/2months and still havn't got anywhere. I am still debating if I should start the mod or not. Mainly because I want to be sure I will finish it.

I agree with you whole heartedly, except dought is spelled doubt, but I wont hold it against you. I personally run a mod, and my skill is in coding, although Im not as good as my main coder, thats what Im good at. I do have other skills like writing and what not, but I am as well going to a college and learning digital art and modelling. With that, Ill be able to contribute more to the project than the design and coding.

I do have some underskilled mapping skils, ie Im not the greatest, but I got into game editing by mapping for UT. Then into Uscript, which is by no reason programming, but was fun to play with and see the results. Before that, I took a c++ class in HS, and well needless to say I learned alot about c++ but that was on my own time.

If you do make this mod, good luck, but just know, we have seen people say what you have said, and seen them fail many of times, so the odds are really against you. People arent trying to diss you, maybe they are but I dont think so, they are just trying to let you know that you are going about this wrong. Take it in stride and learn, and advance, it will only make you better.
