LittleB Takes On the Antlions! Movie

This movie I made in response to a post that wilka91 made in my 30 Fast Zombies vs 30 Antlions thread. He said, "How about 1 Gordon vs. 30
Antlions and you play as Gordon, alright?"
And I said, "You know what, I just might do that..."

So I did. In this particular movie, I tried to make it seem a little more professional with credits and music and such nice things

Love the motion blur.

Only, why do all Antlions gib? Never saw one die and ragdoll, which happens often to me.

Because I'm using the shotty. With, say, the pistol, they ragdoll.

Hmm strange, when up close, I can understand that the shotty makes them all gib, but at medium distance, they usually ragdoll with me. I think.... :stare:

very cool. antlions are fun to fight. so when you were playing this was it very choppy? i know you said you were only getting 5-10 fps but it seems like you were able to play comfortably if you survived.

I had time to time my mouse click for when it would be lined up in the next few frames.. that's why there were alot of misses.

took ages to load as someone was allready downloading something on the other computer.
I dont get it, why to download all the files if they are all the same?

But looked pretty nice tho.

I know it seems easy, but you try doing this at 640x480 at about 5-10 fps :upstare:

Please remember, this isn't really for showing off. I just wanted to make something that synced with the music nicely. Turned out pretty well, don't you think?

You know what I just realized? At the end of the movie I only have one bullet left! hah

First, download all the files.
You will need Winrar to extract these. I had to use Winrar because with it you can make file parts (because of the filesize limit on the file hosting service).
Also, make sure all the files are in the same folder, then just extract part1 to wherever.

Zip doesn't support multi-part files. The movie is like 21 MB, but I can only upload 2 MB at a time, so I have to cut it into 2 MB pieces.

yea 11 rars for 1:38 and 20 second credits. and plus soon as the antlions start to fly- the second they do- my windows media crashes.....
edit: him it crashes when as soon as you turn on AI. if i skip that part then its works fine. its got to be something with the motion blur.

edit- 00:36 is when it gives me this program must close windows error but the audio continues to play.

I have done the same thing but i do it in mutliplayer deatmatch. we build a base on building blocks on hl2:dm then i spawn antlions and we defend it. Its awesome.

I rendered it at 300 fps and then just shortened the movie to the sound file length in Adobe Premiere Pro Trial.

People, all you do is download the 11 files, then extract the file from the first one. It's not THAT much of a challenge, although I bet most people here are using IE. I suppose 11 windows of downloads is annoying...but that's why firefox rules you all...

Dear lord.. why did you have 20 seconds intro time on a 1 minute 40 second video? 1/5 of the movie was credits..

I understand the utility of that map, but damn it looks like crap. You should wage these battles on official hl2 maps when you can.

ok, i extracted the first rar and all i get when i do it is the video but with the screen stuck on an image of some guy holding the crowbar. i can hear the sounds too.
