Localised version, what if I ordered through steam?

I ordered HL2 from steam, did all preloading etc... Now what if I want the French version of HL2? Is it considered another product that I will have to buy or steam will allow me to choose which version I want to play?

no just change your language to French in steam before the next preload

Steam will preload localised assets ,depending on the language you have set steam to.

From my understanding you just enter the language and if you dont currently have it, it will download all the stuff from steam.

So does it mean I can have English and French versions aswell? I would like both if possible.
