poor finish logitech!

lmao uve used it so much uve worn away the paint with youre sweaty fingers  :cheese:

Ahaha.. that happened to my brother's Microsoft IntelliPoint Optical mouse.. on a second look, it wasn't the paint worn off, it was grease. Try some orange oil?

My MX300 is also showing signs of ware and tare, been using it since march, so thats about 9 months now... I see dark spots where my fingers have clicked O_o.

my first microsoft 6 button optical broke down befor i could wear out hte poaint. the usb connectors messed up, my speakers were constantly beeping every 2 seconds literaly, i had that mouse for a long time too maybe 2.5 years. never wore down but it did break.

so i jsut bought myself the same mouse, so far so good for about a few months. 4 maybe. but still no signs of wearing. but a lot of grease and dirt. last time i checked i had pubic hair in my keyboard keys. EWWWWWWW

i have a lot of shit in my keyboard, i think i have ear wax build up, and a roch is laying its eggs in there.

but still no wearing.

/me wants to wear out mouse/keyboard

I think I'm going to buy me a 700MX or the MX duo someday.
I will probably just get a 20$ 2yr replacement plan from CompUSA as well. That way if anything goes wrong I can take it in and get a new one.
More importantly...if it starts looking like that I can just say something happened to it and get a new one. ;)

I have that same mouse(MX700).
Had it since 11. may. No wear except a scratch or two from transporting it to various LAN's..
And i use my comp several hours every day.
Perhaps your mouse got a bad paintjob or something. I can see that my mouse is black under the grey paint, is your's like that?

Are you wearing sandpaper gloves? (j/k)

[edit]

Only white stuff on my mouse is the stickers on the underside. All the blue paint has worn of.. I dont use a mousepad, i use the armrest on my easy chair..
