logitech z-640 speakers

i bought a set of logitech z-640 speakers (5.1 sound). i plugged them into my onboard sound card and only got sound for my subwoofer and my two front speakers. when i turn on matrix mode i get my center speaker working at the sametime. so i bought just this cheap little sound card that should work with my speakers (cobra aw-840), i plug my normal speakers cord in and my back speakers cord in, but i still get the same thing

does yur sound card support 5.1 surround sound? try updating the drivers

It wasnt the sound card, i tried onboard nForce 2 and my new sound card, they both had the problem.
It appears to be winamp, i get 5.1 sound when i use WMP but not winamp, anyone know why this is?

are your speakers plugged in right?
did you set it to 5.1 in your soundstorm control panel?
does it work in games?

i said they work now, but my back speakers dont work with winamp. is there a way to fix winamp, windows media player sucks
